i'm having trouble deciding on what ASA to get for my gun. i'm going to tap the frame for inline holes, so i dont have to worry about ugly adapters. i have virtually no experience with aftermarket ASAs, so i'm turning to you guys. here is what i want:

~ bleed hole (preferably)
~ on/off that doesnt disconnect from the ASA. my Psychoballistics on/off has a pin that pushes on the tank valve pin when you screw the knob in, BUT if you unscrew it all the way the knob comes completely off, and my friend lost a knob that way while walking through the woods, it just jiggled loose.
~ no more than $35-$40 (no more than $20-$25 w/o rail)

I would say either a CP direct mount on/off or a NDZ on/off. I'm not sure what the NDZ one is called, it might be easy bleed or something.

how well do the flip on/offs work compared to the old-fashioned screw-in and -out?

yeah. i cant remember if it was the flip ones or the push ones that people were saying arent as good as the regular screw ones.

If you could find one of the new BL Gear Drive ASAs used I'd say go for that. They are really nice. Built in macro fitting, on/off is so easy to turn, bleed, all in a nice little package.

DF...My Dangerous Ppower RAPS on/off asa. It's the BOMB. Here's my review of it...

Other than a small ball bearing that locks the asa to the rail, there's no parts to lose. A simple flip of the switch and the marker's charged...flip it again and it bleeds empty. I absolutely love it.

There are some places selling eclipse on/off with rails for $29 now, probably the cheapest rail on/off combo that is still nice.

CP is always nice, DP raps work good and the new bob long stuff is suppost to be nice.

The only Push Button style I've EVER liked was the SystemX... My God, that thing was SLICK! If you come across one of those for cheap, pick it up, but otherwise.... Yeah, I stick by my CP's.

CP On/Off ASA. Best I've ever used.
