i would take some kind of tubing thats about the same thickness and bend it from your asa to your reg, measure it, and add about an inch of slack (then round off to the closest whole number)

or at the threads

EDIT: ok so I have a reg, that is on the pilot, can I use a regular threaded 90* elbow?

i would go by the first pic, since with a macro fitting, you wouldn't measure the fitting itself, just what goes in, so everything behind the hex head is irrelevant

if you're using the stock pilot reg, im not sure, but if its an aftermarket reg, yes.

Neither, the measurement is from end to end -

I'm trying to go as cheap as I can by using an asa with metric threads

EDIT: I found them with the pilot reg included
