Well the ego sucked compared to '06 cyborg, it was sad, so I sold it locally and picked up this one.

Pics are dark b/c I took them in the garage, I'll get some outside tomorrow to show off the milling more, it looks great in person. It about the same weight as the 07 ego maybe just slightly heavier but its hard to tell. Best way to describe it is gen4 timmy length, gen3 timmy smoothness(but even smoother) with the feel of a marq. It feels great in your hands. There is almost no kick and it shoots really nice. Aired right up the first time and shot with no problems. The tadao board being stock is amazing, everything you can possibly want and more.

Only cons so far:
-Trigger is stiff and needs alot of adjusting right out of the box (I already ditched the spring)
-Barrel tended to come loose as I was shooting (added #18 oring to it and it has been fine ever since)
-doesn't include on/off on ASA

Looking forward to playing with this one and seeing what it can really do but first impressions are def. pointing to being the greatest gun in its price range and absolute best at the price I paid:p

pfft, get my parts in and they're whored out the next week

Gun looks good, pictures even better. How long till this ones gone??

(and thanks for reassuring my plan, i've always wanted a 'borg, so i traded my mag for the ego and will use the value of it for a cyborg. having never shot either, your opinion means im on the right tracks :))

Actually I sold it two days after I got them:p

Cyborg def. out performed the ego in terms of shooting, Ego felt alittle better but it was no contest actually shooting them.

Hahahaha! That was the Borg I offered you, I believe, Ramrod. ;) He sold it too, so don't feel so bad. I missed my Borg so much I sold the POS Threshy and bought another! :D It's sexier than the last, but I'll not disrupt Taco's thread any more...

Nice Vice! It's very tempting for me to pick one up for myself after seeing your pictures!

Should have let me get the threshold, didnt I tell you that you would like your borg better?

Nice vice, I love the black ones, I might see about trading my red one for a black one.

1-10 10 being the best where do you put the vice? (I just want to know if you put it as high/low as I do.)

I stay around these forums for three reasons.

1. To provide the occasional entertainment for the mods

2. To make fun of chris

3. To look at your hot ass guns that you get every week

*sigh*.... You were.... right.... :( I didn't want to believe that there was that steep of a difference in performance, all my guns are smooth as silk. The Threshy was more like... well, I can't come up with a hefty enough word to describe it... :( The new Borg's sexiness one makes up for the dumb mistake slightly, I'll have to put up pictures in a couple days when I get it... :D

Taco, I am going to apply epoxy to the grip frame on this one, so once you grab it with your hand you wont be able to let go of it.

You must stop trading guns. You get one use it one time and its gone.... :)

So when is the S6 going up for trade, since she is the old girl now.

I would say 8.5 right now basing it on performance/function against every other gun.

1.5 off for no on/off asa, feedneck adjustment is kind of weird and doesn't grip pulse as much as I want it to and barrel would come unscrewed without oring.

For price I def. give it a 10, hands down the best gun for the money at the moment.

I agree, my barrel stays on, what size o-ring was on yours?

These things are really IMO the best markers on the market right now, and like taco said you cant compare anything at the price.

I love the new pics, you are getting good at photographing markers :p I guess it comes with practice.

My barrel didn't have oring on it stock, took out my oring kit and #18 ended up being perfect fit. Barrel hasn't moved since then.

Thanks, when you take pics of 8 different guns in about 3 weeks time you get alot of practice:p

'08 is bob long's come back year thanks to protege and vice IMO. I still can't believe how good it is for the price, after using it I can say I would gladly pay more for what it is.

beautiful gun. but i have 2 questions:

1. how much did you pay?
2. whats your secret to taking those pictures? they look amazing, and there's never a shadow in the background, so it almost looks PS'd.

I use a stand-alone flash at the right angle to reduce/eliminate shadow with outdoor pictures. Thats why when my father and I photograph weddings outside, we still use a secondary flash to balance everything. You just have to make sure the flash isn't more powerful then the already existing light, or the flash itself will cause one.

I'd agree with TRB about these timmies being the best right now, I bought Chris' protege and aside from the fact that it smelled like noob :p it's the best gun I've shot. BTW, how is the magna on there? It looked to me like it might hang off the edge a bit. Any pics?

Don't try to add pre-travel screw to top of vice trigger......I just successfully destroyed my stock trigger:o

Everything was fine till I went to thread it and then one side ripped away.

Atleast now I have a real answer to why I am getting a upgrade lol.

does paint ever get into the eyes? its seems like a risky place to have such an expensive(looking) component.
