okay, so I FINALLY got a metric adapter for my trinity ak mag, with the steel hose and everything, finally got all of it fitted, and now I have another problem. every time I hook up co2, it goes through just fine into the mag, but the pressure is popping the mag off (shown in pictures, you can see the expansion chamber showing) and co2 leaks. If I position the magazine perfectly straight it doesnt leak hardly at all (still a little though) but im stumped. anyone know what to do? should i just get some lubricant for the expansion chamber and if so, what should i get? thanks for the help!
here are the pics:

fitted :D

This is what happens when I hook it up to co2. I shot it and it goes through, but it still leaks through here.

umm looks like you are missing two screws there buddy. They hold the clip itslef to that long plate with ridges on it. Then the plate itself is attached to the gun by two other screws.

This would explain why your clip is popping off. Also you metal hose is WAY too long.

ya ya ya, i know its too long, but it works and im not going to order another one (sorry, ive gone through too many frustrations with this stupid mag) and i never got any extra screws... do you know if i can order them from trinity or something? i have the two screws that hold the rail lookin thingy to the gun, but those are the ONLY screws i recieved. Could you point out what screws I'm missing as in what they look like, where they go, etc? thanks.

disregard that last post, i got the screw thing all worked out, i got what you said, but it still leaks through even though the mag isnt popping off, so I guess the only explanation I can think of is the o-rings.

are the O-rings inside the clip lubed up. You need to use a non corrosive non-petroleum based Grease....

X2 what Skinwalk3r said.

Aquaseal Silicone Grease works well - it doesn't really evapourate and I use it for most of my O-Rings.

well, okay I lubed it, checked the o-rings to see if they were damaged or anything and it STILL leaked co2 in the same spot, so I'm returning it... blah, what a waste of time.

you from all your photos ..there shouldnt be such a gap between the clip and the plate...

hey intercepter how much did it cost you total to get the mag and all you needed to hook it up?

interceptorMR2

well, about 75 for the mag, 10 w/ shipping for the steel hose, 13 with shipping (yes, the shipping sucks on ebay, i know) for my metric adapter, 2 bucks for the microline adapter, and that should be it. yeah skinwalker, theres a gap and I've tried everything now including replacing the o-rings and nothin worked :( the photos i took earlier are now obselete, I did what you said, i fixed the screws but im still leaking out of the same area, the mag isnt popping off this time though. im sending it back in

one last question. You know that silver metal plug that you screw into the MR2 BEFORE you slide the clip over it..? How tight do you get it in ? How did you tighten it ? It requires sliding a slim metal rod through one of the air holes to get a good grip on it before you can twist it ..

hmm that may explain why it is leaking, ill go try that now and tell you if it works. thanks man, that may be the reason!

allright, i just finished trying it and it still leaked. I even tried it with a vicegrip. nothing worked, so im sending it back in, and I dont plan on getting it ever again. Im not taking any more chances with this peice of crappy engineering.
thanks for the help anyways you guys.

i woulda loaded the threads with teflon tape, but yeah it seems like if you couldn't even get it to fit flush then maybe something was wrong with it from the start. Ah well I've heard too many mixed reviews about that magazine I've completely taken it off of my mind, sucks about returning it and everything else; I know just how that feels! Maybe that new M-16 mag for the MR2 I've heard rumours about (Rap4, cough, Rap4) will be out soon.
