I'm wondering, on both a J&J 14 and 16 inch, the exact length (closest quarter inch would be alright) before the barrel goes wider all the way to the end of the threads. Thanks.

Does this help? It looks like from where the bevel starts (@ the 1 7/8ths mark) on the barrel to the very last part of the thread is 8/8ths or one inch. This is obviously the 14" j&j. I would think that the 14" and the 16" would be the same.

thank's alot Deano :D i realized I asked that question very poorly though, I meant the length from the end by the threads, to about the 7 and 3/4" inch mark on your tape, where the porting is. I realize reading my original post I didn't make much sense, but the pics helped me out anyway! Thanks for taking your time to post those pics man.
Reason I asked is because I have a custom rifle foregrip that I bolt to my barrels (with the help of some JB weld) and I didn't want to order the J&J and have it sitting between those two different thicknesses, it would go all crooked and not look good. Thanks again.
