I took a close look at the board in my VS3. It has a VS1 marking on it. Is this goofed up or normal?

I think it is the same board for all three markers. If you think about it they all have the same rates of fire and all the same stuff, so why not use the same board in all three markers to cut down on manufacturing costs.

You want to do this for woods ball? I don't get it. I think the VS1's ROF does not have anything to do with the electronics. The Vs1 and Vs3 boards will probably shoot the same. If that is why you are trying to do it.

vs1s are as cheap as semi autos were i live. haveing a vs3 that has eyes in 3 shoot would be cool then just replace whatever parts you used with parts from the vs3.

if the boards are the same then the difference must be in one of the chips? if so swap chips and you still have a vs1 left over and nothing to do with it so thats why i said beat the hell out of it in the woods. i didnt mean if they will shoot faster im just curious about the eyes and you can tell everybody your vs1 has vs3 parts lol thats the sleeper

I just went and looked at the Vs1's page. This is what it says:

+Multi-Modes of Operation (http://www.spyder.tv/section/products/vs_series/vs1.html)
(Semi-Auto Eyes on, Semi-Auto Eyes off & 3 Burst) (http://www.spyder.tv/section/products/vs_series/vs1.html)

That would indicate to me that there are no eyes in the burst settings. It is the same board. But you could buy the RS and take that board and put it in the Vs1. It says that the eyes work in all modes.

the rs uses a tadoe board doesnt it?I'm not sure. If you look at the web site, it doesn't say anything on the RS page about a tadao board. It just says eyes work in all modes. The RSX page is the only one that actually has the word "Tadao" on it. Look at the specs.

I know mine doesn't work on burst but then I have never seen that advertisement. But if you meant "everything ive read about the vs1 say the eyes work in 3 shoot", then I don't know. It says the same thing about the eyes working in semi, eyes off in semi, and (it doesn't come right out and say if they work or not) burst. You would think that if the eyes worked in burst they would say it. I did find in the manual on page 8 (http://www.spyder.tv/section/support/manuals/vs1.pdf) that eyes do work with the burst.

Don't think I'm trying to pick at you camo, I just wanted to keep you from buying a marker thinking that it had a feature that it doesn't. :D

I can tell you prettymuch straight up that ALL spyder boards are the same, other than the programming. Small changes in programming might make a difference, but tbh, who uses anything other than semi in a game?

And even with a 13 bps cap (aren't they at 20 or so for most spyders?), that's still fairly fast, almost as fast as the new PSP ramping (14.2bps?).

TBH I'd like to see any one of you pull more than 15 bps constant. You have to be GOOD to do that.

I did 16 balls per second on a chronograph with my VS1 all stock ...
And the eyes definitely work in bust mode
