I currently have a Spyder Tl-r sniper and a PMI Pirahana, which needs work got it for $2 used. For Christmas i got a $100 gift card to ****s Sporting Goods. What i need advice is what to use it on, either a MR-1 or MR-2, or quite possibly a .68 Delta pistol. Help me come to a decision.

I would get an MR1, tougher than every other thing up htere, plus is very upgradable and you dont have to worry about the barrels not fitting

*EDIT* If you want to knoow why an MR1 is a good choice, look at Ace24's MR1

you can always mod it for a "sniper"

What I would do:

Single trigger frame
Smart Parts Freak back with 16" Tactical front
Bipod
Cut stock
Reddot
Remote
ACP Internals

There is no such thing as a Paintball Sniper. You can be 'Covert' like a sniper, but there is no such thing as a paintball sniper.

Id get the MR1. its cheaper and you can use some of the money if there is any left over to get paint or something. Try and sell the other guns for money to put into the new gun that you will buy to upgrade, if youd like.

Yeah but PBGrandpa put alot of time into that one and all, and Jegger wants way to much for it. If you would want a gun with that much upping, or with the amount of upping that Ace did (minus his great finds) your gonna spend some serious dough

OK technically there is a paintball sniper. Definition of SNIPER: n. A skilled military shooter detailed to spot and pick off enemy soldiers from a concealed place. And i do that. Ok you dont want to use "sniper" then lets go with LONGBALLER. LONGBALLERS take people out at long distance paint ball.

You can fight me about it, or anyone else, but there really isnt.

There is no such thing as this 'Longballer' either. Wanna know why?
All fields have a fps limit at the field. This means all guns will shoot right around what other guns shoot. So everyone is shooting at ~280 feet per second right? well that means the ball can go as far as everyone else can.

Maybe you can spot and pick off people, but thats basically what woodsball/paintball is, isnt it? :undecided:

Dont get a pistol. Thats a sure thing.

If you plan on sniping or longballing I would not suggest the pistol... Go with the MR-1

im not trying to start a flame or anything but this brings into physics, yes all the guns shoot around the same 250-280, but they do not have the same barrels, a 8" is not as accurate as a 10" which is not as accurate as a 16", this is due to the gas inside is held for longer amt. of time/distance, this extra time/distance increases the accuracy due to the air being more focused.

the other thing is i have 2 semi autos, i figure that if i did get the MR-2 i would customize it to look like the battle rifle off of Halo 3

i picked other for emr1, cool olive color and the cool nee looking egrip with the cool spyder grips with the mr3 stock,

i wished they came out with these when i was looking for a scenario gun

XSiv Force

ok i meant to include that with the mr1 but the emr1 is a little more, my friend had an imagine select that would stop working with the least amt of moisture in the electrical stuff doest it do the same?

electronics plus water is usually never a good thing, just wrap you grip frame up with clear food wrap, thats what i do on days it rains as an extra precaution,

XSiv Force

do you mean take off the griping it self wrap the frame then put grip back on?

also you might want to wait for the mr2 w/ eye to come out and see what people have to say about it

Accuracy is dependant on Paint Bore to Barrel Bore match.

true so long as they match they form their own seal which if it kept, more air is kept behind the ball instead of escaping around it, this allows straight, powerful shots which in the end can send the ball further

exactly, don't forget to tape up the barrel porting, barrel plus water sucks also

j&js are nice for the price, depends how much you have or want to spend,

J7js are good if you're low on cash, i really love ultralite barrels their really expensive new though,

XSiv Force

I know of a stiffi 23" barrel than a "sniper" like you could use. Dosen't sound like you have deep pockets though. I would suggest letting us know your price range first. for you I would suggest a J&J 16'' ceramic barrel from here. (http://www.actionvillage.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/en/-/USD/DisplayProductInformation-Start;sid=PSqdDzXzJ7qcCnJ8ni1dpz86NQdYxq8ekVk=?Pro ductID=ExOsFAY7UJQAAAD4vQKQFRy3#) Its less then $30. and Is a great barrel.

ok im a sniper but i dont go above 16 or 18 inches anything longer you look like the joker from batman when he pulls out the revolver from his pants.

yeah thats what I figured, you don't sound like the Customizing hack and JB weld type.

at least make it look like a sniper rifle like a Barret .50 cal or a Dragonov

XSiv Force

im an aerospace engineer with mechanical engineering background i have no problem doing it. i think its the marker itself with certain upgrades that i think would make the 23" look good
