barrel not flush.

I am wondering if anyone else noticed if thier barrel has a finger nail width gap between thier marker and barrel? Couldn't this cause a chop if the paint nicks it? I tired my dremmeled down zero gravity barrel and my stock barrel and both seem to be the same way.

I have my j&j ceramic and there seems to be a gap like [ ] thick, and it seems to chop alot, and it make it a little less accurate for some reason....idk, but there doesn't seem to be as much of a gap w/ the stock barrel. Thsi would casuse some chops i think.
