NES ftw
LOL I was thinking the same thing because that was my first game console. However I voted Xbox 360 because of its awesome graphics and all the features it has. I love how I can store basically anything on the harddrive and it can comunicate with a PC and also with my Zune.

*EDIT* And it also helps that it has games like Bioshock, and Call of Duty 4

where's pc?

Xbox 360. It's got the community, the games and all of the **** you need to keep busy between the two.

Super Nintendo - Duck Hunter was the best of all time.

I would have had that up there as well as the Saturn and Dream Cast... but stupid poll option limit.

Single player I would say NES.

Multiplayer I would go with xbox360.

Dreamcast was before it's time... I don't think it would have failed had it come out closer to the release of the PS2, Gamecube and Xbox.

I like the Dreamcast because I can run Windows on it hahah. Also, to this day, Shenmue remains one of my favorite real time RPG's. (Even though after the Cast failed, Shenmue one and two came out on the Xbox)

I voted xbox 360 because thats my favorite system I play the most.

I also like the ps2 because I have a hdd on it and I can play all the classic games I want on it from super nintendo, NES, sega, and all that old stuff. I can also save games on the hdd so there are super fast loading times, watch movies, listen to mp3's and other stuff.

I agree with ace about the sega dreamcast, my cousin had one and it was awesome. I wanted one but they stopped selling them so I got a ps2 instead.

I also like the n64 a lot. when I got it I would play it as soon as I woke up for hours.

I'm with marv. No matter how much "before it's time" dreamcast was, it was a failure. The controller was simply disgusting, and nobody in the industry liked developing for it.

Funny how Xbox has almost an identical controller. Minus a control stick and plus a huge hole. Hahaha. (even though the Xbox has memory card slots on their controllers too.)

I absolutely 100% LOVE my PS3, but XBOX360 comes second due to it's pretty much a PS3 with a smaller price.

Then it's the SNES due to I played it a few weeks ago, and it just brought back good memories.

Then the PS2.

Goldeneye was the best game for the Nintendo 64.

I really like the xbox 360 that I have, and I plan on getting a Wii.
I liked my PS2 when I stilled played it, and the 64 was a blast too back in the day.

N64 owns you all.

And Dre, you forgot the wonderful 0-bit glory of Telstar! And it's unimaginable selection of three games... which all happen to be versions of pong....

Maybe a controller consisting of a dial was a bad idea...

I want to see Goldeneye come out for the Virtual Counsel

I'd have to agree.
As a developing platform for gaming pc > *. As a gaming platform, PC fails, mainly due to:
- Disorganized system (steam is the best ATM, but it needs to be better)
- Keyboard and mouse is lame.
- PC has a horrible gaming architecture. Consoles are streamlined to squeeze every ounce out of a graphics card, CPU and ram.

I'd have to agree with Ace... I just went from my 360 on the TV down to my laptop, and my eyes had to readjust for a couple minutes, scaling down from the awesomeness of HD gaming to.... this.

That's a laptop, I mean, comparing a low-end computer to a purpose built console isn't really a fair match.. then again.. a built up gaming computer is completely out of the price range... so it's basically moot.

I'd still go with the comp though, as you can do more with it, though consoles are catching up.
