i have the mr series 16" on my gun and a j&j 14 that i bought used and it may just be that its used but i dont like it as much. the j&j seems to shank more then the 16" at the same distance

RAP4 has tactical barrels that have M4 and M4 RIS handguards on them here's the link http://rap4.com/paintball/os/reseller.php/cPath/22_220_373. Also, I have a 14" Smart Parts Progressive that works excellently.

that first link is the same barrel i have. works great, we played in the snow today. also i shot 10 balls threw my j&j when i got home, no stock on so i could aim and short distance in the snowy weather it shot straight maybe an inch or to off what i was aiming for all ten balls, i take back my comment about it sucking lol

where did you guys get the J&J barrel? I've seen it on a couple of the links and on E-bay.
I went paintballing for the first time this week and I definately want a different barrel.

Carefull with the rap4 barrel there is a gap that bugged me. It feels like it'll just scrape its way down but the weld will actually break and it all starts to slide. Overall it is a good deal. It is also very hard to weld back because it's made of aluminum which doesn't change colors during the welding process.

I got mine at a local shop but you can find them on the net. I paid a little more for mine but I had it in my hands right then and there!:) I really like the j&j over the stock. I have only broke one ball and it didn't "shoot through" the paint like every one says:confused: . Maybe it was just the shizitty paint that I was using(zap).

im not a huge fan of the JnJ... i have a 14 inch on my automag and it never shot
THAT strait. it was ok i geuss. thats just my experince.

but for my old spyder i used a smpartparts 16 inch all american and i fu*kin loved it. it shot
strait, far, accurate, and quite. truly a good barrel. i still own it and its a
big reason why im buying a spyder MR1

personnally i would go with the J&J... because it has a lot of good reviews.. and teh brand is a little more known... not to say that the mr series barrel is bad.. but i would go with somthing you know is better.. get the J&J

Was wondering if anyone had any info on this barrel:

http://rap4.com/paintball/os/spyder-tactical-barrel-p-2759.html

Also am looking at the Smart parts Tactical barrel which seems pretty nice.

Also think the Smart parts LINEAR looks cool, but does the design of it actually do anything?

Thanks guys...38 years old and just getting into the sport!

I am 37 and just started paintballing last fall. Good to see some more "old fellas" playing.

I have the 16" version of that barrel with the RIS Handguard. It works well and looks amazing on the MR1 with the RAP4 adjustable stock.
