A couple people had them at the last tourney I reffed. Don't look nearly as bad as they do in pictures.

I feel bad for kids with Mini's and 45/4500's that'll get the Magna. It'll be bumping against you're head/mask the entire time. Only downside.

It looks like it would be comfortable... and I think it looks pretty nice...

Still a bit awkward... but nice.

The thing I didn't like about my Halo's and Empire's were the balance factor. They felt unbalanced on the gun. My EggyII and a VLocity felt very balanced. I guess it has to do with raceway position.

I'm assuming this feels a lot like the VLocity, only heavier and shorter.

Is it just me, or is there a slider/door hatch thingy on the bottom that you slide forward to drop the battery pack down?

correct, battery door is in the back, it just slides open and battery pack slides out, very handy.

All i got outa that vid was that the benz is nice.

GREAT VID. I like the whole way you presented everything, and I really like how you have a little workstation to do everything.

I dont like how the reballs get stuck in the loader, but i guess if your running around it will prevent that?

are you going to use the other bottom? with teh extra 20 balls? IMO it seemed like a really smart thing to have on it.

looks nice on the Ironmen...

really nice vid...it doesnt seem to alow all the paint to fall into the runway unless u jiggle the hopper. even in the bac of the hopper.

Yeah, I'm not liking the feeding. Doesn't seem like the design works as well as others when it comes to funneling the paint into the drive cone. I do like some of the features of it, but overall I'm not impressed.

the back of that looks so mac g5ish.
I'm still curious as to where on the gun the center of gravity is now.

how does it balance out? when full? with tank?

You have to keep in mind that the pivot of shooting a gun is in your shoulder, so more weight (a force, not a mass) will cause more torque if it is applied farther from the pivot. Regardless of where the center of gravity is on the gun, this hopper should make the gun feel lighter, since you'll provide less force pushing upwards to counteract the downward weight acting as torque. Center of Gravity plays its biggest part when running (or whenever you don't have the gun shouldered). Having a center of gravity near where you hold the gun causes (through another torque equation) a better feel and generally less weight.

when picking up a setup, you should think about two(or three) points of balance not one:
1. over the grip frame for balanced running.
2. at your shoulder, for "lighter" setup.
(3. at your secondary holding spot, a reg, fore grip, etc.)

I could do all of the math here if you wanted, but I doubt anyone really cares.

Little update, went and played with it yesterday at jaegers in KC. There indoor speedball field is tiny (one from pod monkey video) so I did alot of diving into the snake. On the first dive into the snake the hopper slide around the feedneck and actually fell out on the ground, both me and ref standing there laughed. After looking at it the feedneck wasn't tight enough, I tighted it up and didn't have a single problem with it moving the rest of the day.

I only used it on RF mode the entire day with my E2 MQ2 cocker, it worked great. It always loaded the ball right away, never had a break in my line due to the loader. Made my gun feel extremely fast. Spring tension monitoring worked great also, it slowed the motor down just enough to feed the balls without slowing down my rate of fire.

The new lid design worked really nicely on the field, def not changing it out for a speedfeed. I could easily filp it open with one finger while i was raising the pod to reload and could actually close it by bumping it up against the bunker.

The new profile of the hopper really helped on the small field, I didn't take a single hopper shot all day long.

Only downside I found using it was the fact that it will spin around if your feedneck isn't tight enough but that is easily fixed by double checking the tightness of the feedneck before you start a day of playing.

Sounds good. Might be my next pickup.
