To my knowledge all spyders are spyder threaded.

The shroud on the VS3 will limit you to certain barrels. But they are all spyder threads.

Yeah, there was a problem with the VS series i think because of a lip?

But all Spyders take the same threads

I know the mr2 and mr3 have that same issue because fo the shroud.

Yes VS3 has the lip. Every spyder has the same threading...

Most Spyders all have the same thread (some of the oldest differ). The VS3 body sticks out a little on the barrel opening so most barrels will not fit. And the MR2 and MR3 have a shroud that doesn't allow all barrels to fit as well. Companies are now making an "MR" series of there barrels that will fit all of these marker. Threading is the same.

All spyders have the same thread. The only problem is in the VS3's "wings" that bend down a little in the front that scrapes some of the barrels

yes they are the same, just as input for buying a new barrel, if you are thinking of buying a nicer grade, smart parts FREAK barrel back works perfect with the shrouds on. I tried my new barrel on my old body and it worked perfect, no scratchs or anything.

What tool should i use to cut those wings off? I have a feeling that is why my gun keeps chopping paint because the barrel never fits on all the way. Any thoughts?
