Ya, its sad. Ive been reading here & there in the past few days about torp lubeing & stuff & read everything from dow 33 to white lithum...... So Im just gonna use good ol 15w-40 Shell Rotella.
No really, what do yall torp owners use?

dunno, i probably need to lube my reg though. i heard someone say just drop some marker lube down the VA, but they didnt say what kind of maker lube.
edit: wow, thats terrible.

I'd agree with this, although I don't know much about the EM1. I'm not sure if it would hurt the noid or not.

NOOOOOOOOO! In the torpedo only use Dow 33 or something comparable. Don't use dow 55 as that will swell the oring in it. Although the only bad thing I can think for that would be to slow the motion of the piston in the reg. Now, in a timmy, you can use Dow 55 on the orings in the marker body, but I'd only use Dow 33 in the torp...

Dow55 is an o-ring sweller. Dow33 is the lubricant.
Oiling a marker through the ASA, while not the preferred method of lubing a marker, is still ok (only on markers that use oil). Those markers that use PB Oil it is actually a good way of getting lube to the internals of the marker. The thing to remember is to take the barrel off and shoot out the oil so it will not cause issues with paint.
Take the Torp apart and lube the piston and o-rings with a light coat of Dow33. Reassemble the reg and test. Make sure to turn the air down before airing up the marker and slowly bring up the PSI.
When you take it apart, look on the inside, make sure it is smooth, if there is a groove dug in from the piston, you will need to get a new regulator.

I was gonna get some 33 & 55. I did put 2 drops in the asa just so there was SOME lube in the system but not enough to harm the noid.
Come next season it will be a good tourney marker, unless I run into other problems in life.

Well I tore it down & luded it up. Had to replace one oring in it & clean it out...... it was a freaking mess. It shot great on my TL+ at 400psi.
Oh ya get this.......... I chopped like 4 balls with it. Using my HaloB V35 on setting 6 (32+bps right?) with 6 fresh AAs.

What size bore do you have? Is your bolt chipped?

Bolt is fine. Stainless Lapco Bigshot. Walmart paint, Draxxus & the bore differance is very far off.
