So, I have this Developmental Psychology project, and am doing some interviews. So yeah.. Right now I need some Middle-Aged responses.

Just answer to what applies to you (Teenager, Young Adult, Middle Aged, Elder)

Also, the conclusion and analysis will keep you all anonymous, but if you are worried about your peers opinions on what you have to say, you can just PM me.

Going to Auto-Diesel College

Day I got married

settling down / Getting my ASE certs

4. How often do you think of your past?
All the time

Very important

6. Does your life now reflect what you expected of it in high school?
no

So much I could prolly write an essay on what I learned.

8. How would you describe your teenage self in comparison to your peers?
Different but an important person

Still have fears but their all different

Alot, period.

A good deal after alot of thinking about different subject.

Teenagers (19)

Graduating as Salutatorian in high school.

2. What is your best memory?
Any memories involving fun times with good friends.

3. What is the biggest goal you have for the next five years?
Graduate college and start a good career.

4. How often do you think of your past?
All the time.

Very.

6. How do you think life will be after college? (If you don't plan on going, how do you think it will be after High school?)
A lot more hectic with less free time.

7. Are you looking forward to what you expect?
Not really.

8. What is the meaning of life according to you?
42! No, seriously, I have no idea.

My friends and parents.

I've acquired a more realistic mindset and have learned to think more rationally.

my childhood was awesome. there were always alot of kids around to play with. to this day, i think of my old neighbors as my all time best friends.

to graduate from UVA with a degree in econ

right now, i want things to play out along the lines of me working for a german car company, whether or not that involves me moving there.

7. Are you looking forward to what you expect?
i wouldnt say "expect," but very much so

8. What is the meaning of life according to you?
were supposed to seek happiness

9. Who or what has had the greatest influence on you growing up?
my parents have been divorced since i was 5 or so, and ive been living in each of their houses since. the households have differing opinions on many things, which gave me the opportunity to see the good and the bad of such opinions.

10. What do you think the greatest changes (if any) in your personality have been?
i honestly dont think my personality has changed very much over the years.

Teenager (18)

1. What has been your biggest/best accomplishment?

Keeping a 4.0 through 33 credit hours of college, and on my way to 49 assuming I can get my Econ grade up.

2. What is your best memory?

My whole life has been pretty blessed, so I'll just say that.

3. What is the biggest goal you have for the next five years?

To graduate from college and start my life off with a good job and hopefully a wife.

4. How often do you think of your past?

Less often than I used to.

5. How important are close relationships to you? (Friendships, intimacies, family, etc.)

Extremely important, my relationship with God and family takes top priority over everything. I'm very close to all of my family, especially my younger sister who is 17.

6. How do you think life will be after college? (If you don't plan on going, how do you think it will be after High school?)

I think it will be good.

7. Are you looking forward to what you expect?

Yes, I feel like I'm learning valuable lessons in college and in life that will benefit me when it comes time to get a job and eventually hopefully start a family.

8. What is the meaning of life according to you?

Not sure what this question means, but to me the meaning of life is to lead as safe and happy a life as possible and try to get to Heaven someday. :)

9. Who or what has had the greatest influence on you growing up?

My parents and my faith.

10. What do you think the greatest changes (if any) in your personality have been?

As I've gotten older I've made a shift from someone who likes to pick debates with people to someone who is just laid back. I still feel very strongly about what I believe in, but I've learned not to push it on people unless provoked.

Teenagers

My biggest accomplishment would probably getting this far, senior year, in high school. I never study. I have always breezed through with a mid 70's GPA throughout high school. I'm not very bright but it must happen for a reason.

2. What is your best memory?
I dont really think I have one. More bad than good, for sure.

3. What is the biggest goal you have for the next five years?
Go to college for 2 yrs, then find a good paying job. Eventually get my own appartment.

4. How often do you think of your past?
Very frequently.

5. How important are close relationships to you? (Friendships, intimacies, family, etc.)
I'm usually screwed over by everyone, so they, they as in family and friends, tend to be less important than somethings.

6. How do you think life will be after college? (If you don't plan on going, how do you think it will be after High school?)
I think it'll be harder than of what I know about life after college.

7. Are you looking forward to what you expect?
Yes and no.

8. What is the meaning of life according to you?
I still have yet to figure that out. Every now and then I think about it and end up with no good answer.

9. Who or what has had the greatest influence on you growing up?
I have not had any good influences. I'd say teachers would be the most influential.

None to be completely honest.

Way to much, probably a few times a day

More relaxed and not as crazy as my days now

Yes

Its fragile, and you cant take back what youve done, so think about what your doing!

Family, Friends, Church

My attitude and thoughts through my everyday actions and my religion

getting my masters in computer & systems engineering

probably the most important thing

Young Adult (first time I have been called young in awhile)

1. What has been your biggest/best accomplishment? Having 2 beautiful daughters and knowing that I have them financially stable while they are growing up.

2. What is your best memory? Meeting my wife/having my children

3. What is the biggest goal you have for the next five years? To be have myself stable enough to purchase another house, and start another business.

4. How often do you think of your past? All the time, it is what drives me to better myself
5. How important are close relationships to you? (Friendships, intimacies, family, etc.)- Without family friends, and love we have nothing.

6. Does your life now reflect what you expected of it in high school? Not yet, I wanted to climb the ladder a little faster, I am well on my way, and am happier with my life now than I expected because I never foresaw myself getting married and raising a family.

7. How do you think your childhood effected your Teenage years? My childhood drove me to try, to strive, I did not have a good childhood nor did I have good teen years, but it was on my own account, I made myself responsible.

8. How would you describe your teenage self in comparison to your peers? A little too much, I don't know if that says a lot but risky may be the word, it was not rebellion as it was mostly for survival.

9. How have your fears changed since Childhood? Instead of fearing my own safety and my own life, I fear the safety of my family and friends.

10. How much do you think your life has changed since your teenage years? 180 degrees. From gangs/drugs to high business class with a great family 2 homes, 3 businesses and a constant job that I love.
11. How do you think your opinions and views of general topics have changed since your teenage years? They haven't that much I was always very goal oriented, although now I have family to worry about as I have stated numerous times.
