thanks for the offer but sorry. I'm not getting it off of that website. My local store has the same ones for $39.99. I just wanted to know if those are decent pants.

I haven't ever thought of Empire for "best" pants, but I won't give up my pair of Empire 2k3 Pro's. For the price, they're hard to beat. I wouldn't expect them to come with ginormous padding or last forever, but they will do if you have a set of knee pads already.

wait so with these I would need to get kneepads? I thought it had them built in.

Empire isn't well known for built-in padding. I only have two layers of material as padding in my pants. With those pants, they give you a dual kevlar layer and dual density padding, which'll suit you for a while, but I'd be on the market for regular knee pads (even the ones in the Sales section for $10, I think they were JT's) fairly soon.

If you want good knee pads, JT Team pants are the way to go.

I LOVE mine. Best pants I've ever owned. They are a little on the warm side, but they are so incredibly comfortable to slide in and wear. I'm in them for 10 hours or more and I wouldn't go back to my Empire Inverts if you payed me.

Look on PBNation or on here for a good pair. I got my '07 JT Urban Camo Teams for $40 new.

All the pants that you're asking about are about the same. They all have medium knee padding and are about the same in comfort. If you want slightly baggier pants, go with Empire. If you want slim fitting pants, Draxus or JT are the way to go.

Dye and Proto are slightly baggy, slightly slim fit. I personally don't like any of Dye's or Proto's pants or jerseys... but you should go and try them on before deciding.

I put Draxus and JT above all for pants and comfort.

You can find those for $40 or less on PBNation if you look.

so are the invert pants any good because my friend has them in the size I need and there never used. He said he would sell them to me for 30.

My best bet would be proto pants, they are by far my favorite budgeted pants.

Which year Invert?

Are they the Invert SS' or are they the older '04ish Inverts. (I used to have the '04-05 and they are not worth the buy)

Those have the lesser of the knee padding. They are pretty comfortable and stylish though. I think they're worth it.

I have used Proto 04 pants with proto 07 jersey and the padding in the pants were nice.

I play front so I need alot of padding and the only thing I wore underneath the pants last tourney were basketball shorts and they kept my knees in nice shape all day. I didn't have one complaint, well except for the rock behind the dorito I slid into, but I dont think that any pants will protect you from rocks.

Well overall, I say if you are short on cash and need new pants Proto pants are pretty good. I would sell them to you but dont have them anymore, however my new 07 Draxxus pants will be making there way from VS3 Sniper's house on Monday.

to answer your question empire pants are nice,

they are baggy and the kneepads are huge compared to my small knees, my pants have gone through a year of sliding and i've yet have a rip yet and the padding still look good
