well, motivated by a thread on PBN (click me! (http://www.pbnation.com/showthread.php?t=2456759)), i've brainstormed an idea for a spyder pistol. i dont have the resources to to make one myself at the moment, but its something i'd like to see done and thought i'd share it if anyones interested.
first, parts:
halfbacked or slide-cocking spyder body
freak kit w/ 1" tip
acs bolt
lighter striker
modded valve/pin
single trigger eframe
victor front piece w/ macroline
ASA (see below)
13/3k or 3.5oz tank
50 rd hopper
how/why:
body - half-backing would loose some weight, or a slide on top to cock it (like a real pistol) would be pretty cool. i think it would be pretty easy to take a top-cocking acs bolt, drill a hole in whatever youre going to use as a slide, and jbweld the cocking pin to it, cutting off the excess pin.
freak kit - functional, yet short with the custom 1" tip that druid has.
acs bolt - no chopping
striker - reduces weight, increased airflow
valve/pin - reduces weight, increases airflow
eframe - single trigger like a real pistol, yet capable of a decent rof compared to a mech frame
hollowed out victor front piece - no need for extra weight, and its a pistol, so it doesnt need a reg/x-cham. the macro also cuts down on unnecessary weight.
ASA - i'm not sure a drop would make it too heavy, or balance it out more, so thats why i didnt put down anything for ASA
lmk what you guys think. i may make one in the somewhat distant future.
