Replaced the valve spring in their MR1? If so, what spring kit was it from?

Just about any spring kit will work. Surf the BST here & PBN & a few other forums for used kits. I bought 3 whole kits in less than a month to add to the kit I have been building just so I dont have to worry about tuning down the road.

Ok, though I've found that most of the "Spyder" spring kits have a more conical (cone) shaped valve spring where as the MR1 Stock Valve spring is more of a cylindrical spring. As a result the valve spring doesn't fit as neatly.
Is that going to make a difference?

OH thats right the MR series if full bodied & takes spring like the AMG does.
Shoot me a pm, I have 3 or 4 from the last kit I bought & only have compact bodies.

MR valve springs are even longer than the AMG. It's almost like a short main spring. You might have better luck buying an extra set of main springs and cutting them down.
i can see how that works and might lead to problems also,
good suggestion? i hae som extra spings and i might try

I was thinking of going lp on my mr1, but was thinking this would be a problem. I think the rocket valve is the best bet, with it's built in spring. If you do find springs that fit please let me know. I am cheep and would love to just mod the stock valve.
i went low pressure on my mr2 and i had to use a heavy spring to get more dwell because the stock main spring has about the same tension of a medium spring,
but this lead to problems in some of my shots shooting to high of velocity, the medium and low pring didnt give me enough dwell or velocity so i bought a rocket valve and i'm waiting on that to come in so i can retune my marker

Lonus - I was thinking of going with the rocket valve as well, though I'd rather not have to pay for a LPC/Stabalizer on top of the valve.
mudder - I've tried searching all over the web for compatible valve pins but haven't had much luck. I'll try and get some pics of the valve spring up this weekend if it'll help you ID'ing compatible springs.

My measurements come up at 1 3/4" long, 11/32 OD, 9/32 ID.
Looking through a number of stores, I'm beginning to wonder if the Shocktech or Madman Autococker spring kit will work?

would a full-body spyder spring work? i can get the measurements on the one that comes with the maddman kit. my measurements are 2 1/8" long, just under 1/2" OD, 1/4" ID (small end) 3/8" ID (large end). or how about an AMG spring since it looks like the same front end style.
try the amg spring DFsniper,
i can do a little modiing to the frontlock like thing if the amg spring is the same length

i just checked the manuals, and they're both part #10C, so i'm guessing its the same thing, which would make sense since the whole front end is pretty much the same.

It would also make sense on building make & ordering springs.
