Well as many of you know one of our very own had breast cancer. She kicked its ass and is recovering great. She is an inspiration to all of us. With that said I wanted to get a new marker and I figure why not dedicate it to her.

I got lots of parts together from different people, and I want to thank all of those that contributed to my new girl. Then the marker went out for anno.

The colors I picked are a tribute to her.

Pink with black splash.

Here is a list of her parts:

RH breach
Back bottle valve
12g quick changer
Wevo UC kit
15 round feed tube
CCM 86* frame
L-Stock
Stealth Barrel (Stock barrel bored for Freak inserts)
Ghost Ring sight and rail (still at anno, but will be here soon)
CCI Drop
Custom ASA for Hawaiian set up.
Bling Bling Trigger shoe (for now the matched one is also still at anno)

And with out further adieu I present you........

Shanna

I love the feel of the 86* frame and the L-Stock is the perfect length. Once I get the fittings on the gun I will post up the Hawaiian set up.

wow! i think the only thing that would have fit better would be for the black to be in white and Shanna's name engraved on the sides.

Whoa, Shanna had breast cancer? When? How did I miss that?

Regardless, God bless, and I pray it doesn't spring up again. Also, that has got to be the best tribute I have ever seen. A sweet gat for a sweet woman. Dan you are who I would trust to make any tribute for sure. Shanna is defintitely in my prayers/thanks now.

Thanks all....

The anno was done by Daddys Customs.

I will be doing a review today with pics and the link to his anno site.

He is just starting out, but does good work, cheap and has a super turn around time.

Hey.. that looks familiar.

I haven't been around much lately but I tried to get on here as much as possible to check up on Shanna and her family and when I finally saw that she had beat it, it felt like some one in my own family had beat it and its really amazing to see that Bamf would take one of his own markers and tribute it to her like this.

Oh, the gun looks good too. :p

Dre, can you ask Kingman if we really can keep it maybe for another contest? or was it something they wanted to use as part of there promotion of the new marker?

Drefish99

We have to return it since this contest was FUBAR. Next contest we will have to do a better job of keeping everything under wraps.

Dan, you had told me about your plans to create Shanna, I had no idea that she would turn out this well nor did I expect this kind of reaction out of Shanna, she honestly did not have words to say, she was in awe that you a complete stranger (albeit a brother) would go out, put together a marker like this, spend that kind of money, and then dedicate it to her, to honor our struggle for life, Dan you are truly part of our family, you have helped us with advice, you have provided someone to talk seriously to in times where no one seemed to understand you understood. You and your family are all amazing people, we feel completely honored to know you and touched that you have gone over and above once again just to recognize something that many people just let roll off their shoulders. I honestly do not know how to thank you for this, for all of this effort, for all of the thoughts that you have given to our family. Thank you so much man, you are welcome in our home any time you please as is your family, you are an amazing person Dan Thank you for this. I <3 ya man.

Your brother (no reference to skin color)

Matt.

P.S I also like the choice of black and pink...

Well now, it's hard to reply after that post, Matt.... :waytogo:

Very very nice job on it, Dan! As WhatThaSmurf would say: "s1ck g47 y0!"

I've already said my piece, don't mock me. Matt and Dan both know that I have both a soul and a brain.

Next contest we will have to do a better job of keeping everything under wraps.

Well, then the next contest better be on a different forum.

"s1ck g47 y0!"

Please smack yourself for talking like that :D

Please re-read and consider your words again, Critical. ;) I'm SURE you misread that...

And I see no reason why we should not try this again... I'm sure that if ONLY the trustworthy people know about it (mods and myself, of course :D) that it will work out. I can think of one project that should be done soon....

Dan, I really do not have the proper words to say, and if you ask Matt that is rare. An Internet forum, a way to pass the time, that is what we thought when signing up for this website. Neither one of us knew that we would go and find friends here who we will never forget. I know if someone is reading this who just joined the site they will never understand, although I am sure that some of the vets here only keep coming back because of these people, because of this family. You all know who you are, each and every one of you who would catch me on AIM late at night when I was in distress over something, or help calm me down a little bit by just talking about things like we used to. Dan you have done so much by yourself, you have talked to Matt at every opportunity, you have asked him how I am doing, how the girls are doing, how we are doing together, normally an Internet acquaintance does not care truly, normally it is simply small talk. You went out and made this marker, it is beautiful, I am honored to be here today to see it complete. Thank you so much, and like Matt stated, you and your family are always welcome in the Barron household. Thank you so much Dan.

Shanna

I think Shanna hit it right on the nail. Because of the people on here, KUSA has become like my second home. No matter how many times I've moved over the past few years, I've always had people here that I would consider my friends. Thats something I've never seen on any other forum.

It couldn't have been said better, and it is true for everyone who seeks help here that goes much beyond paintball. There are numerous and very personal topics discussed here that recieve very honest and caring responses. To think that people who stand a very low chance of ever meeting in real life would care so much for each other is unbelievable. I even feel comfortable letting my stuggle to quit smoking be posted here for a second time as a give it another go, and the input is so heartfelt that you would think we all lived on the same city block together.

Shanna! Good to see you post! :) I have to agree like the others: the family is one of the few reasons I still am around here. Without that cause, I likely wouldn't check much more than once a month in the news section.... wait, I already do that!
