View Full Version : Are O rings-O rings or should I buy off line?

I replaced my valve spring and my VA's O rings need to be replaced. Can I buy those at walmart or sporting good stores? I have seen O rings there but did know if Spyders had special O rings.

-015 is the size, polyurethane of at least 70, or Nitrile. As long as the o-rings you pick up meet those specs, you should be good to go.

Tank orings (-015) for the non moving parts and buna-n/nitrile (-015) on the moving parts (you can get a bag of 100 on ebay for cheap).

are you sure tank o ring fit the vertical adapter? I took one off of one of old co 2 tanks and it was too thick. I could not push the VA on with the O ring on from the co2 tank.

More than likely, the old o-ring had swollen. a new o-ring should not have that problem. Yes, they are the same size.

What part of the VA if its a screwy kingman one with the male threds it might be different on the male threads.

It just slides into the body. It does not screw in. There is a screw under the body and screws the part to the body. There is a part that does screw in but it is in front of the part that slides into the body and does not affect what I am doing with teh O rings.
I will get a new set of o rings and see what happens

Yes tank orings should fit that unless theyare old and swollen as sugested before.

I replaced the valve spring on my E99 but when I took the Vertical addapter the O rings on it broke. I got the exact size O rings from the hardware store and had some leaks coming out of the VA when I hooked up the CO2. I read where Dow 55 and Gold something oil was good for swelling O rings also saw in a post where white lithium grease was good and that it was the same as Dow 55. Is that true? Does anyone have opinions on what I should to seal it up? All I did was take the VA off and before I took it was fine.
