Hey hows it going guys im new to the forum. Just got a Spyder Pilot (just the normal one). What barrel would you guys recommend for it? and is the stock one any good?

Hey, IMO the stock barrel is better than other stock barrels. I haven't used it too much, though. Personally I love my 14" J&J ceramic barrel, although I scratched the side of it on a spool the first week i used it =*(

The stock barrel on any marker sucks. They're normally peices of aluminum roughly rolled to have an internal diameter of .691 ;). Personally, I would get a .692 bore CP 1 Peice or a Smart Parts Teardrop barrel. With the larger bore you have a lot of with that single bore over getting a barrel of same make but of smaller bore. Here's a whole discussion thread on that. (http://www.spyder.tv/forums/showthread.php?t=1014) Now for length....if you play a lot where you need a shorter barrel then go 12", but if you can get a 14". Anything more is a waste of money IMO.

I also just bought the 14" smart parts teardrop. Excellent purchase!!!!!

14" dye proto here.. great medium range accuracy, shoots through breaks great, and is very very light weight. Cost me $50 locally

For $50-70 you can find a Dye UL barrel, I'd go with that.
