No we didn't have another kid, not yet anyhow, we went to the airport today and picked up the newest addition to our family from Ohio, this is Daffodil, Daffy or Dafs, she is a purebred Doberman Pinscher. so far she is pretty shy we were a little weary about letting her around Kyra and Makyla as they are both in that pull on the hair/ears/legs stage but so far she has done really well around them, she hasn't snapped and just simply gets up and walks away when they get too rough with her. She has been sleeping for a good part of the day and seems to be getting along well with our other dog who is a mini schnauzer. so here she is... if you have any good trick ideas to teach her lmk.

Yes as the papers say she is a half docked Doby so she is supposed to have floppy ears, and.. I think it is cruel either way ;)

Looks Cute. Unfortunately all my memories of Dobermans are bad. Our neighbors when I was young had 2 Dobermans and they were the meanest dogs I have ever known. One time my friend and I were chased into his tree house by one of them and held hostage there for about 2 hours until the owner finally realized it was gone and came looking for it. Hopefully yours doesn't turn out this way.

I want one. I love Dobermanns, dont know presicly, but i do.

Actaully my uncle used to ahve like 2 back 15yrs ago, got rid of em cause i guess diapers were needed more. Then after that long of a break, and the known history of some local places getting robbed around his restaurant, he went and bought a reddish dobermann, named it rusty. I want a dober.:(

she already answers to all 3 ;)

Jaxon (our other dog) still thinks she is cool because he is still bigger than her, he has been playing big brother, wait a few weeks and we will see what he thinks of her then...

We taught our dog to lay right in the middle of the floor where every walks. Wait, actually, she kind of picked that one up by herself, because she knows she'll get attention if she's right there in front of people.

Definitely our hardest trick was to lie down, but that was because she was like 5 when we thought to teach that one. A real important one is to heel, or to stay close to you.

Thats a good looking pup!!

My Dobie turned 4 back on the forth. I never had her ears done & Im so glad because they look better period. The uncropped ears also give her that "Im just a 90lbs over grown lap puppy"

Nice pup Barron. Now you might consider going to the library and reading up on them - ;)

omgeee puppeh! we put a bell on the door to teach my dog to go to that door, and bark to go outside. It worked, as long as you jingle it when you want them to go out and you only use that door for letting them out for atleast a month, but unfortunately the bell hacked up the door a bit.

reading up on puppies or on dobermans? I have raised a pup before, cant imagine this would be much different besides the fact that I need to use stricter discipline.

I do have some useful info about the breed though, they are a very smart loyal dog from what I have read.
