Renegade field called "The Bunker". The property is a total of 70 acres. 50 is farmed and not playable and the other 20 is the bordering woods. In lowlands, it would be the drainage/swamp area but because the elevation's pretty high here, it's PA Hardwoods with a small stream running through the center.
The band of woods is about 80 yards wide and runs the perimeter of three sides of the property. Normally we use the 1/2 acre we clear-cut for the <15 players we usually get...but this time, we had to expand out 100 yards into the thick brush....for the 39 PLAYERS THAT ARRIVED !!! WOOHOO!!!

The flag you see is the standard of my Scenario Team PennDragon and their uniform is German fatigues in the camo pattern Flecktarn (or "Fleck" for short). I, of course, am in my MARPAT Kilt and jacket (Side-note to all...I'm looking for bulk Flecktarn material. I really only need like 10 yards of the stuff to make a Kilt and other sundries...so if anyone has connections HOOK A BROTHER UP!!!).

Enjoy the pics with my NEW camera!!!

I do love that camo kilt. That placr does look pretty sweet to play on, especially the clear cut area with the pallets and branch bunkers.

I do love that camo kilt. That placr does look pretty sweet to play on, especially the clear cut area with the pallets and branch bunkers.

Thanks! The clear-cut area took 4 days to do...with a tractor+Brush Hawg, chainsaws and gas powered clippers. The pallets were gotten from Home Depot [with permission] and as it turns out, one of the parents there watching their sons, works in a local automotive wrecking yard. He wants to DONATE 40 VEHICLES to place in the extra 100 yards of woodlot!!! He'll even use a car-carrier to bring them FREE OF CHARGE!!!
The 'branch bunkers' were my idea and my own little effort to 'recycle' what we took from the forest. They took some effort to drag and build but we're very happy with how that "speedball~ish" field ended up.

We're also talking about building an observation tower in the center of the whole field. It would be about 20' tall and enclosed in the field-rated netting. That way the parents can watch and see the whole field from above...take pics, what-evers...

Looks like you had a blast there Druid! glad to see you got a decent camera too!

We did, it was an awesome day! Yes...the camera's a decent one...thanks! It's a Kodak EasyShare M753. I also got a 1Gb card for it right away...lol.

only druid would wear a camo kilt... and whats with all the german uniforms??

In our group, yes...I'm the only one to wear one. However, I'm not the only person to ever wear a Kilt on the field. Anyone who's been to Skirmish for a scenario can attest to that...lol.
As for the German uniforms...I'll quote the initial post...

The team portrays the German Infantry in all the large scenario games of the area. Since this area supports mostly WWII scenarios...and the Germans are always the 'under-dog' team...it's just more exciting that we're outnumbered at least 2-1 in the events and makes for intense fire-fights that must be engaged.

Great pics, but to me it may just be the resolution, but it seems as if the camera isn't focused, or is in close up or something.

Well, there were 4 of us using the camera and it has auto-focus. I know many were zoomed-in also. Or it could be that the user [that wasn't always me] snapped the shot while it was in the process of setting focus. Also, there are a lot in the sunlight...which could 'wash-out' the digital exposure.

nice pics, looks like there's a lot of tippys there

There were. There were also quite a few older Spyders. That's the greatest thing about our set-up...no one judges each other by the gear they use [we really frown upon razzing anyone else's gear]. All guns are welcome as long as they are chrono'd. We also don't restrict modes of fire...but we encourage trigger control and NOT saturating our targets. So far, we've been pretty much blessed with good kids and compassionate [up to] adults.

druid ur the only guy I know that can successfully wear a kilt
nice pics:up:

Thanks. Perhaps because I'm a beastin' MOFO at 6'1"/230 lbs?? LOL!!! Nah...others wear them too...just not in our group. What I need though, is Fleck material - so I can make a Kilt to match the Team's uniforms. They want me to wear the same uniform as them. I will only wear a Kilt. The compromise is that I wear a Fleck Kilt...then both of us are happy. So my search (unsuccessfully, I might add) continues for bulk material to make the Kilt from. I may end up having to buy a few canvas Fleck Rain Ponchos and use that material to make it. That's gonna tick me off because it's impregnated with a rubbery-type of sealant. That's going to make it extra hot and sweaty under there -.- ....and that's not a good thing...lol.

Looks like the flectarn blends in perfectly with fall foliage. As always, kudos on the kilt; but the red banded socks stick out like a turd in a cereal bowl. Some matching camo or olive drabs would be the ticket!

Here ya go (took her all of 5 minutes to find, women, they may be a pain in the arse, but when it comes to shopping, just get out of their way) http://www.camoart-shop.de/shop/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=1695. The sites in German so you'll have to open http://babelfish.altavista.com/, select german to english conversion, copy and paste to get all the details. It runs 9.90 euro per 150 cm, which should be about ~$15 US per yard plus shipping and she estimates you'll need 6 yards to make a kilt.
And not that it matter's but here is my favorite German camo pattern...

1. It does but not as well as the "SWISS AlpineFlage" material. This is a good "all-around" camo that's different than US patterns.
2. Thanks much!
