Windows are being tinted for a late Christmas present, probably 35-45 percent all the way around (except windshield) and then at least 1 Kicker 10 (dont want any rattling) and hopefully a Kicker Amp..not sure on the amp yet though. The only thing after that is new Ford indiglo gauges to match the head unit. Then a K&N FIPK, then I'm done.

Not to crush your dreams or anything, but you won't be able to foot the payments on that thing with a teen job, let alone the insurance... You'll probably be up in the $3k+ a year range for insurance...

eh have you driven one? they are dogs. As slow as it is ugly. I mean when you read the brochure bragging on the 240hp you think of a good amount of power. I was severely dissapointed. My 115hp Corolla felt faster. I really don't like the styling either. My opinion, for the money you spend on it, you could either A spend 5k more and get a real sports car mistu (Evo) or B spend about 5k less and get an SRT-4 which looks alot better, is a 4-DR, and will eat that EEk Lips for lunch breakfast and dinner.

this combo is rated to about 300 watts...it hits really well for just being low buck 10s...my highs will blow anyone outta the water, since i'm pushing 115w max speakers with an 800w amp...

depends on what I have to do that day. most of the time it my 1998 Dodge Ram 4x4. Other times it is:

2001 M1A2 Abrams (yes this is a tank.)

1934 Ford Alstock Truck

1994 Harley Softtail.

Or a pair of Reeboks. size 11.5

Does that answer your questions? Hope it helps.

i love my car, especailly the fact that i know exactly how to get the point of honking across without actually honking, at people going to slow, all automatics do it, get your car to be doing about 35, or 25, or 5(:dodgy:), let it downshift all the way (for 25 and 5, just let it hit the lowest possible rpm and hit the gas for alittle over a half a second, if you do it right, your slow-goer (my neighborhood, being part of homerama has people who drive 3 mph the entire way to "look", while i live there and need to be on my way) should hear your engine rev, but you'll stay at a steady pace, i hate honking cuz it means thousands of things, reving means you better get your *** moving.

Now THAT is sexy. Not too often you see them in red either. I would love to have one of those. The ultimate sleeper. Little do most people know that the Taurus SHO is not even a domestic Ford, considering the motor and Drivetrain is made by Yamaha. (which is a counterpart of toyota)

Yeah you know your stuff. The engine is also huge compared to the engine bay, its rediculous trying to work on it. Nobody susects a big ol' 4 door ford to be fast, but this thing can haul. He's beaten GTi's, GS-r's, and eclipses in it.

Its a 1955 chevy 210 4 dr sedan. What ever you dont parts you see not on the car i do have just took them off. Well its really not what i drive. Im only 16 and wont have my licence until the summer. This is my car though. My dad bought it for me to fix up. although this is wont be my everyday driver. He bought this so i can fix up and just drive around on nice days and bring it to car shows and such. For my everyday driver i was just looking at a 78 buick skylark but in my opinon the guy wants to much for it so i have to see if he will lower his price. If not ill be looking into getting somthing like a 87-87 chevy caprice classic 2 door or something alike.

on another note, i don't like the handling, it bothers the $#^% outta me on the freeway, too skitchy. awesome car all the way around though.

right now I'm looking for another car- I drive a 96 green slammed pontiac

...you can rev higher just sliding it into neutral... lol and with a manual, just push in the clutch and rev... But yeah... It's fun... :)
lol i can but it hits 4/6k without any accelleration in 1st. and i hadn't thought of that. poeple who go too slow (not like slow as in im doing 40 in a 25 and they are doing the speed limit, but like they are doing 35 on a private road (...that isnt limited by the owner... id estimate you could safely drive 55 on it)

No, thats not as bad as Nova, they tried selling that in Mexico before they realized that "nova" means, "no go". D'oh!

nova = it/you (formal) novate(s)

and i had to look it up... Definition: to replace with something new. "no va" would be "no go" besides in english pinto is slang for "no go"...

i test drove one today. i think you're lying. thats all i have to say.

on another note, i don't like the handling, it bothers the $#^% outta me on the freeway, too skitchy. awesome car all the way around though.

right now I'm looking for another car- I drive a 96 green slammed pontiac
grand Am. bunch of stuff on the inside, sound system ect, sony stuff and an alpine CD. I also have a 1992 LeBaron convertable that I am working on, but i'm trading that to get the new car. which is the only reason i didn't get that 06 eclipse, the trade in value was garbage.

No offence or anything, but you drive a Grand Am. I'm sure it did feel fast to you. on the other hand, performance cars is what I do. Had my hands in some fast cars including a 175mph 300hp 11sec. LS Integra, and a 300-350hp SRT-4 (hasnt made it to the dyno yet)

As much as I hate to say it, a Mustang GT feels faster than the Eclipse. Which claims to have the same ammount of power. And I have seen barely over stock 4 cylinder cars smoke a stock Mustang GT. The Integra I spoke of before ate Mustang Cobra's for breakfast on street tires not getting any traction.

Its all when you go into tq/weight ratios. Honestly though, I think they care claiming mnore HP than it has, and that maybe the hp/tq raito is a bit odd? low tq, high hp? HP sells cars, but TQ wins races. That's the oldest saying in the book.

I wasn't trying to make fun of you, nor am I now. This is just my impression of the car.

2000 Mitsubish Eclipse GS. It's got like 109,000 miles on it and I bought it with 47,000 and have put $500 in repair's in it so I'm quite pleased with it so far.

Next car will be a four door four cylinder six speed and something that I can mount a bike rack to.

and here's the car I want (for a daily driver, wouldnt sell my 86 for the world)
2007 Toyota Yaris TRD (yes, were getting them in the states in 07) yay!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v243/DevineIntervention/sema05toyota.jpg
more commonly known as the Vitz in Japan or the Yaris in Europe. Its actually smaller than my Corolla. It's what going to replace the echo in the states. Although unlike the euro and jdm vehicle instead of getting the 63hp SOHC 1.0, were getting the DOHC VVT-i 1.5 103hp. Ok, yeah it sounds pretty weak but if you know anything about K class cars (or have ever played gran turismo) you will know that 100hp is a big number for a K car. They will also offer TRD options such as: Lightened Flywheel, Springs, Struts, Wheels, brakes, and a few apearence items as well from the factory. Base MSRP: $10,900.

Bought some case lights from MicroCenter today... Gonna wire them up under my dash... I might take a drill to the one of the stock unused button covers and put a switch in there for it... That would be pretty sweet... Just gotta find a place for the inverter and find an easy access point for the wiring... It shouldn't be too tough; just snip the wires that would go to the molex connector and attach them to the car's 12V wiring... I might just steal from the terminals on the 12V socket... I'll see tomorrow... Maybe throw some quick disconnects near the light, so I can switch colors easy... Got 2 12" red lights, 2 12" blue lights, and a pack of cable ties... But yeah... I'll take pics when I do it...

I was kinda eh about them too. But everyone has their own taste and they grew on me. Got alot of props from people, plus I only got these $800 rims for $350 w/ tires. Was one of the main reasons I got them. That and replace my ugly steel rims with scratched hub caps. It also looks better in person, cameras always make things crappy looking.. especially cell camera's.
