im thinking about changing paintball styles from scenario ish (my mr2) to speead and lightweight. i need suggestion for good fast guns that will scare my friends and under $300.

oh i guess i will. i suggest a used 2k5/alias platform intimidator for 200ish.
or the new proto slg looks pretty good for 250

That being said, I'd suggest any of the new (ish) stuff for under 300.00 NEW. Rail, Mini, Fusion, SLG, etc. All those guns put anything from 3-4 years ago to shame with the blatant kick buttedness of the boards, triggers, lightness and styling. Most even have really good efficiency (loader and 6 pods off a 68/4500 from my Rail this weekend at practice before I refilled air - and I really could probably have gone a half pod, maybe a full pod, more...)

IMO 1000-1200 is average, 1500 is ok, 2000 is good and anything over 2000 on a 68/45 is great.

I'd say a Proto SLG thats what I might get if I get the money, otherwise a nice timmy would be sweet
