So, I need to write a history paper on anything, but sarcastically (Go figure). So, I know the whole discovery, but I was told that there was more including raping of the Natives, but I don't know if this is true or not. Do you guys know the whole story? I'm assuming that Vike would know.
Please help, it would be very awesome.

There is a lot of info on Google about him. I'm sure you could find answers there.

I did google.

It just says how he landed on the Bahamas and how he didn't Technically discover America.

i'm telling your History teacher. lol. i use www.dogpile.com It's a search engine that searches ask.com, google, and a few more sites. If that doesn't work, i'm sure Vike will pop in and leave some page long report that i will try to read and get confused after the first paragraph and then quit. lol

Nope - not a long page report. There is a lot of information about Christopher Columbus out there, especially lately when they've been saying he wasn't even Spanish now...

I love history and social studies and he's one of my favorites, but you'd be better off just doing your homework the old fashioned way! :P

Aw, please Vike, I've been searching for a while now, and haven't been able to find anything so far.

apparently he also did drugs. lots. they say he just hallucinated the whole trip and was actually just on his back porch, standing in a fishing boat one day after an opium binge. :dodgy: wikipedia, then use their sources listed at the bottom of the page.

Oh, ok. I'm a sucker for a student...Here are a few links for you, but I won't write your paper for you! Be sure to give credit in your report, though. (Not to me, but to the author's of this stuff...in a bibliography or whatever!)

Try this about what he ate on his voyage. (http://www.castellobanfi.com/features/story_3.html)

That's another theory I've heard lately - the latest I've heard is that he's from, well, some strange sounding country I'd never heard of before...

No, I think it started with a P, and honestly it was a place I'd never heard of. I'll dig around and see if I can find the report I heard...

Well, he conquered America, I can tell you that, cause I have some spanish roots (Spain), and some portuguese also.

Lately here in Guatemala there are some protests, cuase we have a national holiday (I dont mind that holiday at all, a day off...hehe), and that holiday supposedly celebrates the conquest of him, and some people are argiung about that being a "slavery memory".

if its sarcastic, throw in how he was 400+ years late and that Leif Eriksson beat him to it.
