how long does one have to play paintball to be condsidered a non-newb?

I dont think theres a time length, its more of a skill thing.

Someone could play for years and be horrible.

I think its more of an attitude and knowledge level than a skill level. When you get to the point that you can solve most of your own questions, help other people with their issues, and generally know the lingo and ins and outs of paintball in general, then you're not a newb any more.

I think those definitions fit paintball (and video games) pretty well. Those areas are the only ones where this definition fits, basically. In the real world, you're a "newbie" until the next new guy comes along, even if you've been there for a year.

Yup, The first time I played at my local field I played with the home team of the field, The Jesters, They are a D2, D3 Team...I learned A LOT


Thy and play a better team, this why (if they are nice) they will tell you things you can do to get better.

yea its when u reach a level of understanding of the sport and maturity.
