Yes my main is a mr-2 and I love it but you never know if some thing goes wrong . it good to have a back up I am leaning towards a speed ball gun but I am still unsure.

Do you want a spyder or a different type of marker?

I would like to stay within the spyder family.

If you play woodsball then pilot. If you play more speedball, VS2, if you would like a review on either lmk, my dad has a pilot and i had a vs2

EDIT:I would go for the Pilot only if you want electronic (not a fan of electronic for woodsball) if you want a VERY NICE cheap marker that will do what you want then go with the MR-1 it can take a fierce beating, and you dont have to worry about the electonics getting wet.

I would just pick up a refurbished VS1 or MR1. Remember this is a backup that is going to be used in emergencies. There's no point in getting anything too fancy.

I vote MR1 as well or another mech. Keep it simple its a bakup gun you dont need anything fancy, and you sure dont need a gun thats going to put you on the sidlines trying to figure the kinks out or trying to fix it.

My backup gun is a Surge II, not the worlds fancyst gun but it always works and I never have to fix it (Keep in mind i play woodsball and scenario, very seldom speedball so I dont need high rates of fire) if I dont use my Surge I will use my Trracer pump gun, I dont care what anyone says those are great durabel guns.

VS2 ftw, its basically an upped spyder

Why would he get the VS2 as a backup considering it is newer and "better" than a MR2 as well as being a little pricey. Stick with something simple and reliable.

I agree with the vs2. May be newer and better than an mr2 but for the money, your better off buying it than a kicking monster of a spyder.

I would agree with the Imagine. They're cheap, but deliver enough.

I'm still saying go with a mech Spyder like an MR1 or similar. That way you don't have to deal with any electrical problems like batteries. If your resorting to your backup you don't want to have to deal with problems on that too!

If it's a backup I wouldnt' get a electronic unless it supported a regular battery. Ya don't want to have to worry about charging that sucker.

OR.............

Get a pump and use that as your main, since they rarely go foul, you can use the MR-2 as your back up :)
