I'm not 100% sure but I think it should do the job. I saw it on a table at local pb field but I have never used it.

I use hater sauce and despite name, ( would much rather it be called lover sauce :) ) it is a great lube and will work just fine.

I used to do that, most of the time it works ok (but just ok)... but every once in a while its good to take things apart for a good cleaning and lubing. For regulators I use grease, clear lithium or silicone based so that it will not swell the o-rings.

Here is a guide for CP - Empire is almost exactly the same inside. Note the recomended use of grease for lube... (seem to remember though one of the Dow lubes will swell the O-rings so be careful there)

Heres one for the Detonator : Edited source for PDF

I had a bit of trouble with the return on my VS2. Lubed the valve up with a little gold cup oil.... still sticking a little. A couple of strap wrenches and the valve came apart - cleaned it and just a smear of grease on the orings and the valve is soooooo smooth now.

Hey thanks for the tips and the links to the regulator instructions. Cp auctually makes a rebuild kit that you can buy that has all the replacement o-rings and stuff in it already.

The link for the Evil detonator was not working as of this morning.

Great idea on getting the valve apart, i tried once before but gave up because i didnt want to scratch it. I now have some strap wrenches so i am gonna give that a try!

For the CP you dont need to get the expensive rebuild kit for normal service - most of the time a trip to the local hardware store for o-rings at .20 cents will do just fine. CP listed the sizes in thier guide. Empire Regs use the same orings. Most of the time if you hear somebody dumping on a regs performance its because its dirty and they wont/cant clean it. My empire was that way, about three dollars worth of orings and reassembling its plates in the proper order - now its fine.
Also if your local hardware store carries Superlube grease get that instead of the expensive PB greases. Its what ICD uses on thier markers at the factory. Superlube also comes in a squirt and spray but its too runny for what I need.

The Detonator manual link works for me? It takes just a second to open.
