YES!! it's the stock barrel :) I think is gonna make it perfect for close combat...such Urban Combat-houses castles and what not...

Take off the stock, remove the front grip, pull the drop down off and just connect a small stubby Co2 tank directly to the bottom of the marker and get a Q-loader....that would be one bad close-combat marker....

Good job on the work though....just curious how much louder is it with that shorter barrel? Not that it matters in close combat, nor does the accuracy.

YO that set up right there sounds wicked...just don't have the money and motivation to really spend money in all that though...but sounds wicked!! (im actually looking forward for the Trinity fore-grip that looks like a magazige-Expansion chamber I think it looks awesome- I don't know how loud the barrel would be...BUT I'LL FIND OUT TOMORROW! in "the wild west" http://www.wasagapaintball.on.ca/fields-wildwest.shtml

JBtoronto,

I picked up a g36 stock for a custom 98 through Opsgear for 19.99 and just cut to make it fit, takes about 3 inches off the overall length of the stock. I'm not a small guy and the MR2 stock was way too long for my comfort.

Look:

here's a custom plug for the rear with a sling attachment:

Here,

I'm still working on a new front shroud, one that is longer, for obvious reasons to extend and mount the rail all the way, also with a larger barrel port to accomodate larger barrels and be able to continue the rail on the top and both sides and the bottom for hardware, lasers, lights, forward handle grips, etc.

The rail is an airsoft part that had 3/8 mounting to it, I just cut the plastic out to fit over the 7/8 weaver rail. I originally toyed with trying to obtain the tippmann X7 g36 rail, its alot cheaper but just wasn't available at the time...that and says tippmann all over it and has the cut-out in the top rail of the handle to accomodate the warpfeed and hopper of the X7. Overall the airsoft rail, though more expensive had the look I wanted. I'm also using a q-loader with this setup.

This is what it looks like without the front shroud on:

I'm still trying to decide whether or not to use PVC plastics or light gage steel for the front shroud so I can weld it together and be super sturdy for the new shroud. Definately a work in progress.

hmm thats pretty bad, i wanted to see how it looked because im thinking of turning my mr into a halo battle rifle. As for the x7 hopper i have ideas for that also, i want to try to see if i can get halo internals to fit

Hey ViperX is there any chance that you can do a write up on how to mod the g36 stock to work?

Which rail is that?
