Don't know if it's just me but, when I ran the 6 AA batteries, they lasted alot longer than my current setup , which is the 2 9 volts. anyone else experience this?

That's because there is a ton more amperage! Try it with E2 Lithiums and it will be lighter than 2 9 volts with alot more power!
