View Full Version : feedneck in the way of scope...

okay so i screwed up. I just got my order of my simmons 42mm red dot scope and my trinity clamping feed elbow for the mr series... and well... the feedneck just HAPPENS to be in the way of the scope's line of sight. i mean like when you look at it, you can still see where the red dot is, and where the paintball will hit and the feedneck isnt in the way there, its just showing up on about 3/8 of the scope. is there a way I can modify the feedneck so it is farther off to the side, or is there an easy way of offsetting the scope? any suggestion will help, thanks.

How about mounting the scope on a side rail?

If you need more clearance you can use the new rails for the mr series and mount it on the side..... In theory this should work. :)

Hey, I edited your images show they would show up. Now you just have to hit edit and you'll see what and did. Now in the future you will know how to do it on your own. :)

is there a way i can safely modify my feedneck to get it out of the way without buying an offset rail? I guess i just like the scope where it is for the looks, but i dont know which might better for my situation. i dont want to buy an offset rail if it goes way of to the side, i only need about an 1/4 of an inch give or take of clearance on my scope

i cant really think of a way that would work. its just a red dot and not an actual scope, right? i would try and find a small daisy or brass eagle one.

i had that on my imagine when i first started. and if you keep both eyes open (which you're supposed to do with red dots) you should be able to shoot fine with they way you have yours set up right now.

i think ill stick to your side rail idea, i looovvveee my simmons, its very easy to spot targets through, i guess i just like how it looks when its centered on my mr2, but ill go with the side rail, thanks for the suggestions, i needed em:D
