Well I decided it was finally time that somebody put a pneumatic trigger into a cocker, I have been thinking about doing it for awhile and finally decided I waited long enough. Ordered all the pneumatic parts and have a 06 black magic lpr laying around to use on the build, hopefully all the pneumatic parts make it here soon, really want to get a jump on this.

I got started on the trigger and decided to take it a bit farther....

The trigger:

my new setup (back will need to be hacked off but i am waiting for pneumatic parts before i do it):

small video to show what it is:

I drilled a pilot hole for the area that will be needed for the mpa-3 (sear ram), after the hole went out the bottom I got a idea, why not loose some weight and gain some more room on the inside of the frame, about 4 hours later I have this, its just rough cut for now and will be cleaned up later.

back after:

Hallowed out almost a 1/4" in the front and little over 1/8" in the back, got alot more room and made a pretty big difference in weight.

I decided I didn't need two sets of grip mounts so I took out the hump on the bottom of the frame that was for mounting the grips in the upper postion.

after:

I have a huge pile of aluminum shaving, best offer gets them:dodgy:

I am very happy with the way things turned out today, more cutting tomorrow and hopefully i'll get my pneumatic parts soon so i can have it out testing by monday.

I'll post updates as things happen.

update for today, didn't have very much time with it today but got a few things done.

Started on the top of the frame, got alot hallowed out where the mpa-3 needs to go, looks very rough b/c it still has a long way to go.

What i started with today:
http://i196.photobucket.com/albums/aa18/muddytaco2/DSC01162.jpg

Where it is at now:
http://i196.photobucket.com/albums/aa18/muddytaco2/DSC01169.jpg

Lost interest in the top area after awhile and moved on. Trigger guard is now totally split.

Before:

After:
http://i196.photobucket.com/albums/aa18/muddytaco2/DSC01171.jpg

Going to need lots-o-filing to get this back to looking stock, new anno is a def. now.

Thats pretty much all i got done.

Frame next to the pile of aluminum shavings that has came out of it so far (stack is about 1/2" high)

What exactly are you doing? puting the 3 way in the trigger frame?
Ill give ya tree fiddy for the shavings.

Hell... you could melt those shavings down and pour them into a mold for a trigger for it. Heh.

instead of the trigger tripping the sear it will use a 2 way valve on a piston to knock the sear down, makes mech pull extremely light and short.

Update for today:

Thought the frame could use alittle extra weight loss, put black marker on the bottom so you can see how much has been removed:
http://i196.photobucket.com/albums/aa18/muddytaco2/DSC01185.jpg

finished the top, according to the specs online the mpa-3 should slide right in now:
http://i196.photobucket.com/albums/aa18/muddytaco2/DSC01183.jpg

cleaned up the split trigger guard:
http://i196.photobucket.com/albums/aa18/muddytaco2/DSC01186.jpg

Then I got a priority mail box and got all happy only to find my two luke's SS mpa-3 rams inside (one for cocker and one for a mag that i will get and build sooner or later), don't get me wrong i am happy to get them but i really wanted my pneumatics today:

Stop. Put down the guns and stop. You're taking this too far now. :p

Please go get a Dye Reflex body for this gun. That'd be the perfect fit.

I can't stop myself:p

Dye body would actually be a nice touch but I like the looks of the lotus better and its super light weight.

Having major issues with the 3 way timing, even with a hollowpoint 3way the trigger pull simply isn't long enough to cycle 3 way and catch the lug, so far in 2.5 hours of trying I have managed:

-hammer cycles, 3way pull gets stuck in back position, bolt won't close

-hammer cycles, 3 way full cycles but won't catch the lug no matter which way i adjust the lug, the sear simply can't be adjusted to spring up in time to catch the lug.

-hammer cycles, 3 way won't activate

conculsion so far, the msv-2 simply doesn't have a long enough pull after it activates the mpa-3 before the lever bottoms out up against the msv-2 block.....its starting to look like i will have to pick up a mag to throw this in.

I can time a reg. cocker setup in under 2 min so i know its not me:p
