xbox 360 is acting up. help

felt i needed to stop by and see how things were goin here.:p hope everyones doin good.

got a small question for durrell or claus or one of you with a 360. i just transfered my live account from the old xbox to the 360. now everytime i put halo in and try signing into xbox live it comes up with a box saying "you have an important message from xbox live. would you like to go to your account managment in the dashbord." so i hit ok and it brings me to the dashboard then al of a sudden it just restarts the game. :confused: i really have no idea whats going on cause i can play other games on live but halo just wont work.:mad:

have you tried logging in under your screenname on xbox.com to see if there is a message there you need to read?

ya i could say no but then i wouldnt be able to play live. and taco ill check that right now.

edit: think i found the problem, in the family settings it was only allowing me to to play xbox 360 games on live, not the original games on live. thanks taco for pointing me in the right direction.
