View Full Version : Hpa question, 3000psi-4500psi??

I am looking into picking up an invert mini which i plan to run on hpa. I have never ran hpa so i have been researching the differences between it, and co2. I now know the differences/benefits to hpa but i am a little stumped, my question is that i realize that the first number you read on a tank is the size 45/68..... and the second number is the pressure 3000 or 4500psi....now if that pressure is being regulated down to 850 or 900psi to run the marker what the difference/ pro's and con's between a 3000psi and 4500psi tank??

You get more shots from a 4500 of the same volume.

:yeahthat: Like for instance I have a 68/3000 I can get more shots than a 48/3000 but a 48/4500 can get more shots than both. It basically comes down to higher numbers=more air but if you play speedball dont get a like a 120ci I would go with a 68/45 if you play mid/back and a 48/45 if you play front like I do.

Also makes a difference if your field can fill up to a 4500 psi tank. A lot of fields only do up to 3000. Then they have less pressure than that, actually.
But in answer to your question - more shots, as was mentioned above is about the only difference. Depending on the ci part of the equation.
