Taking off eye covers?

Today. I was shooting my VS2 in my yard ... I had a ball break and there was paint EVERyWHERE .. i took it inside and I began to clean it . I squeegeed(<sp) it out and one of the ball stops came out.

I tried to take off the eye cover off BUT either the screw became stripped or the allen wrench is striped


Any other ways to put a new ball stop in without taking the eye covers off?

You could try to use a set of bent needlenose pliers. If it is stripped you can take a dremal & cut a slot in the screw & back it out with a flat head screw.

The little screw in the eye cover holds in the actual eye cover right?

Ya, there should be one flat hex head screw per side on the eye covers. Under that will be the detent & eye with its wires.

I got it... I used one of my dads allen wrenches* .... The screw was NOT stripped it was the allen wrench..

if they do ever strip use a t-8 torx bit ;)
