Strange problem (?)

Sorry for making a whole new thread but this is a whole new probelm.

I got the gun working, its set for about 240 psi and i can shoot as fast as i possibly can without any problems. This is with out paint. As soon as i put a hopper on (gravity fed or my pulse) and try to fire with paint it just putters out and the ball falls about 3 feet in front of me. Im not using the eyes, but when i do turn them on it wont fire at all. I have tryed several different types of paint and even tryed turning the reg down and up. i greased the striker o ring and charged it last night. i dont put any grease on the derlin bolt (i heard from my tech that it will make it swell)

I have no friggen idea whats wrong!! and im starting to get pissed at this gun because its been nothing but problems!'

Does anyone have any ideas beforei bring it back to my tech

Is your paint getting stuck in the breach or on the eyes?

Thats a possiblity but i have fired this paint before with out error

Your bolt isnt upsidedown is it because that shoulds like what happens when it is.

That a very good observation. But it doesn't explan the eyes...

Make sure the bolt is installed right & check to see if the eyes are lined up right or dirty.

ok ill check the bolt

but if the bolt was installed wrong why would it fire without paint

It will still recock but not enough air is passing through the bolt to push a ball.

i took apart the bolt and reassembled it and now its firing paint but still not 100%, it will fire 9 out of 10 but will putter on the 10 and if i try shooting really fast it will putter out.

So i guess something changed cuz its working a little better.

Im going to have to take it in but thanks for all the help

Do you have a full tank of air? Try turning the regulator up some & adjusting the main spring.

ya i have about 1500 in my tank

what kind of adjustments need to be donw to the spring?

On the rear of the marker on the lower tube there is a spot to put an allen wrench & turning that clock wise will increase spring tension. Whats your regulator set at?

thats spring tension thing your talking about thats the velocity right?

my reg is at about 240

my velocity was turned all the way out almost, which is low

Since it was all the way out, turn it two full times & do what you were doing when it messed up. Still messes up, two more turns.

240 seems to be about where most folks are at until they are broken in.
