View Full Version : Interest in carbon fiber triggers?

I already have materials on order to start a new run of triggers in the standard material but dre as mentioned a couple times before that he would like a carbon fiber one instead. Up to this point I have put it off due to the massive up front cost just for the material, roughly 10X more expensive then the delrin/acetron co-ploymer.

Cost per trigger would be around $50 shipped priority mail, including dual ball bearings, stainless steel set screws and new trigger pin sanded for direct fit to trigger. Maybe a magnet return kit for a extra $5-7.

Last time I had tons of people say they would buy then never did once i ordered the materials in, for that reason these will be paid in full, non-refundable, pre-orders. I absolutely can not take on the cost of people not following through on something this expensive, I have nothing to gain off of this, I do this strictly for people that want nice parts at very reasonable prices.

As usual you get any shape you want and the trigger is backed 100%, have any problem what so ever, contact me and I will fix it.

So if your interested and are willing to put up the pre-order money now, please post here and you will be added to the list. I will collect money when there is enough interest. Post here with any questions, please don't pm me b/c my box fills up to fast already.

pics of some previous triggers I have made encase you have never seen them:

UL trigger copy, *note this pic was not final product just rough cut*

material that would be used is not the cheap import crap, it is top of the line military spec, double compressed, full carbon fiber layered, no fillers.

pic of exact material to be used:

Peoples name who are interested will be posted below, only say you want one if you have the money to actaully put up the pre-order money when the time comes.

Ok I haven't really been following this thread b/c I have been busy with other projects and such.

I would like everybody that is 100% right now ready to buy a trigger post here with what trigger they want. If this is going to happen I would like to have enough pre orders in before KC nppl (I am going) and would to have the material on order before I leave so it will be ready to go when I get back.

Please only post in the remainder of this thread if you are ready to buy right now.

Carbon Fiber realy needs to be pre-preg with a vacuum bag and cured in an autoclave for full advantage. If you lay it up the same way you would fiberglass (wet layup) without all the extra care, it ends up marginaly lighter and stronger - but the CF is really wasted, compared to what it could have been strength and weight wise.

^^^^exactly, I have no idea how to layer carbon fiber and would ended up loosing a ton of money learning, plus the supplier I am getting it from actually make tactical vehicles so you know its the good stuff.

Supplier is being slow on getting back to me, hopefully any day now.

Carbon fiber is being made monday:dancing:

Said it takes about 5 business days till it is ready.

I didn't have to pay up front since I did some work for them in the past so all payments won't be collected till it is ready.
