After pulling the bolt out to break in the spring I noticed scratches on the bolt (marked in red). This is a new gun. Never been on the field yet. Only fired 20-30 balls in the back yard to test it ...Is this normal ?

my bolt has scratches on it too. its odd if yours is like that when its new though. after awhile i guess due to the friction inside when the bolt it moving back and forward it tends to scratch up the bolt.

the screw on the feedneck is too tight. the screws are poking out the other end and scratching the bolt.

If they are deep then no, that is not normal, do what ksee777 said and see if that fixes the problem. If they are light scratches that is 100% normal.

no not the plastic thing. its the actual 45* metal feedneck. i forgot to think about what they have all mentioned. if the scratches are deep then its bad, but if they are light (like mine) your fine.

I know what part you are referring to now. How do I fix it though. back out the screws 1/4 turn ?

i would think so but im not exactly sure. just make sure that it is on tight enough to where it will not fall off with the weight of a hopper.

you can loosen it 1/4 turn. But if it becomes too loose, then use some loctite (DO NOT use the red kind) or buy small washers.
