Hi

Because of the shroud quite a few barrels do not fit the MR3 marker.
I'm interested in hearing which barrels you have used with the MR3 marker.
This way we can get a list of usable barrels.

go to www.actionvillage.com and choose your marker then they will list all the barrel that fit to your marker. I personally used J&J Ceramic 14" for my mr3 and i love it.

yes they do list which barrel fit the mr3. Go to barrel section and choose your gun. I recommend you J&J 14" ceramic barrel, best bang for the buck and performance wise.

I agree with Anarcho...... the J&J ceramics are the way to go. Though truth be told i'm using a 16" on my MR3. RAP4.com (http://rap4.com/paintball/os/barrel-systems-spyder-barrel-c-22_220_373.html) also has a few barrels that will fit, but be sure it says MR3, the one I bought didnt..... to fix it I just pulled out the ol dremmel

you cant go wrong with the jj ceramic. i use one with my mr2. it makes it quieter and a little more accurate.

Another option you have is that you could take any barrel to a machine shop and they will turn it down to size, because its such a small job lots of places wont even charge you. I use a progressive and had it turned down to get past the shroud on an MR2. Its not much hassel at all to get them to do it, takes less then a min. Hope this might be helpful to you.

ANY SPYDER THREADED BARRELS WILL FIT THE MR3!

That means:
Freaks
CP
J&J
Stiffi
Empire
Evil
and so on...

I recommend something with decent porting. This reduces the sound out of the front of the gun, and makes it even out on the sides. (Person infront of you that your shooting at will be less likely to hear you shooting them. It also helps the paint come out if you have a break in the barrel. Lets the access leak out)

ANYTHING OVER 14" IS OVERKILL. Don't listen to people when they say, "It's more accurate", or "It lets you shoot alot further." It WILL add maybe 1 or 2 feet to your total shooting distance, but you consume much more air to get it those extra feet. Accurasy is dependant on paint to barrel match. A bore size that fits snug enough around your paint so that it doesn't free fall through really quickly, but slides through slowly is a great match and will give you the most accurasy out of your barrel.

Hope this helps a little.

You mean any spyder threaded barrel will fit if you can get it past the shroud... my freak spyder back doesn't fit into the shroud... and the idea of turning it to size, well that's a little worrisome, I don't want to turn it down and weaken it too much eather... anyone have another idea to use this barrel?

I would recommend the 16 inch J&J Ceramic. Its a very good barrel.

It has to be a straight barrel, it can't be a tear drop or any other flare outs. So any spyder thread wont fit, unless you take it to a machine shop or dremmel it.

Oh yeah........Ive got a 9" rifled from RAP4 that fits, they ask if you want straight or flared, go with the straight. And a J&J 14" ceramic that I currently use.
