and to all you non beleivers, it functions and works well with a stock spyder board, but its capped at 13bps.but now has a tboard.

lol, vike you should put this in your spimmy walkthrough gallery and say "this is what happens when you try to go the cheapest route" or something along the lines.

Thanks guys!

it was >$150. there wasnt enough room to fit the battery. the stock spyder board is big.

1. get a feedneck- that just looks redneck imo
2. get timmy board
3. get annoed
other than that, good job on building a spimmy for cheap

So many questions! I'll just start with 4...

1. How are you running it off the stock spyder board since the stock spyder board isn't programed to run an electro pneumatic solenoid, much less one that utilizes 3 hoses?

2. Which Spyder board are you using?

3. Does it have a timmy solenoid?

4. What is the jackhammer for since it's hooked up directly to the regulator (I don't see a hose coming off of it to the ram sleeve anywhere.)

I'd like to see a video to see if this works before adding it to my pages, hahaha!

I can answer #4. Third pic down shows the LP hose coming from the LPR going into the front of the frame.

Ah, I didn't see that! Thank you!

New number 4 question: Was that hole already in the regulator, or did you drill it there yourself?

e99, but i have a tboard that ill try to get to work in it. i took off the cap, it works.
3. Does it have a timmy solenoid?
yes
4. What is the jackhammer for since it's hooked up directly to the regulator (I don't see a hose coming off of it to the ram sleeve anywhere.)
that is the stock pilot foregrip, i used a bottomline reg. the hose goes to the noid via a hole drilled in the frame. its an lpr?

ill make a video soon.

4. the hole in the bottom wasnt there, i drilled that.

how the heck does that thing work??? i look at it and the more i hear and see of it the more i think it is impossible to work...i mean a spyder T-board in it??? dont get me wrong though i believe you that it works. but WOW!

if you pull out the ep jumper in a spyder tboard it will power an ep noidw/ no problems

Dude, after seeing this I'm just gonna buy a noid, a ramsleeve, a poppet, and a bolt and spimmy my em1 with my esp frame. I'll just have to steal the verA tboard I have in my em1 for it hahaha. I've already got a cocker LPR and plenty of regulators XP. I bet I could spend even less than 100 bucks on it AND make it look good! It'll be blind though, but my qloader won't mind.

Also, the only thing keeping a stock spyder board from working on an EP gun properly is the dwell is preset. You can cut off the capacitor and power an EP gun no problem. I hooked my spyder board up to my em1 once to see if it would work, and it did, but I didn't shoot more than a couple shots for I feared running 16v through the 5v noid would blow it up. running it without the cap probably drops it to around 8-9v, which so far, hasn't hurt it (probably ran about 10k + with no problems

Oh, I know. I'll use a Mac 4way noid, use the dark horizons titanium ram (25 bucks) then just buy the rest of the parts stock.

BTW....what kind of bottomline regulator is that...because your LPR is hooked up to the expansion chamber...right?

Both of your Spimmys are getting horrible shootdown, especially the low budget.

What's your dwell and LPR on them?

Oscum Guy
08-08-2007, 04:30 PM
i cant chang the dwell on the tboard b/c you need to tap the power button to save settings, i dont have a membrane pad. lpr i just turned all the way down and then turned it up until it shot well.

the pilot spimmy is all fixed now, no drop off. lpr is at 75, dunno dwell but kick is minimal.

p.s. what would be a good dwell level for the low budget?

Using a Timmy board, I'd set the budget spimmy to 80psi on the LPR and 10 on the dwell. Thats a good starting point from which you can begin fine tuning.

cocker lpr, cant measure lpr. the tboard is an ep enabled board tho. thsnks for the dwell input.

Get ahold of a LPR tool. People sell them for Marq owners. All you gotta do is hook the hose coming from the LPR to it and it'll read the LPR pressure. Its basically the same thing as the gauge on the Timmy front block.

hmm, maybe.

but i wouldnt need to know the pressure if i tuned the lpr every time i gas it up.

a spimmy vid will b e up in the somewhat near future.

You have inspired me Oscum to create an even uglier Spimmy for cheaper.
Lets see how low I can go

Oscum Guy
08-13-2007, 04:30 PM
aight bring it on fool. this could easily be done w/ an esp frame. but i wasnt trying to make this ugly, you are.

NeedForSpeed
08-13-2007, 04:42 PM
haha. Maybe I won't go with the uglier side but I want to go with something cheaper. So you spent $150 on the whole thing?
It's either a spimmy or a mag. hhmm

Oscum Guy
08-13-2007, 04:49 PM
dude i really dont know how much i spent, just a rough guess. but well go ahead w/ it. okay you build something for $150 or less and well each make vids and have people rate how much it rips, well have a poll and whoever gets the most votes is awesome. accept?

and the gun has to be completely custom not just an upped gat.

ill make a vid soon. does anyone else want to join the challenge? if so we need to decide on a mode for the vids.

should i make a thread to see who want to join? make it official?

now it just needs to be anno'd (or re-anno'd) and you should do something about the battery.

EDIT- and you need some grips

Oscum Guy
08-20-2007, 09:56 AM
yeh, i can fit it into the frame. i have grips there just not on.
