Hey guys,
I just picked up a MR1 and want to put a red dot on it. Can someone please post what all I need for it? I searched and saw that it is possible but cant seem to find what all I need. Links would be awesome. The cheaper the better please.

Search for aimpoint replicas with cantilever mount, got mine on ebay for 35$
It should fit without problem.

Almost any other sight will have this problem:
If you dont use some kind of offset mount or riser, you will have difficulties looking down the sight when the stock is attached.

Be sure you buy something that fits r.i.s or picatinny rails ( 7/8 )

A lot of sights out there are for 3/8 like the rail on .22 caliber rifles.

a BSA red dot at walmart will work on the rails Taillo mentioned. They come in 36 and 54 mm. I suggest the 54 because that lense tube is bigger in diameter.

Issh i dont think walmart sells gun mods...

Try out wgcshop, ebay seller ehobbyasia and evike, and at your local paintball field.

If you buy out something you dont know if it will fit according to its length, try counting the number of ridges on the rail you want to buy, be sure its lot longer than the room you have on the mr1.

There are only a few considerations...

1.) Can you see through it when you have your stock and mask on?

2.) Will it mount to the "picatinny", "weaver", or 7/8" (inch) dovetail mount?

Answer these questions, and it should help you when choosing a red-dot sight. "Sportman's Guide" (www.sportsmansguide.com) is a good place for cheap stuff... Another good place is "cheaperthandirt", at www.cheaperthandirt.com.
