By "Dark Series" I'm assuming you mean the Dark Timmy. If so, I think that the Dark Timmy has a better rep as the '06 Timmies are rated not as high due to a redesign and I think a less reliable marker?

2k5 Timmies are where it's at.

do you mean a dark alias platform a specialty gun by warped sportz

or a Darq (Dark Marq) also a specialty gun by warped sportz

either way most ppl will tell you the dark because marq are very high quality and some ppl don't like gen4 intimidators wait for like chris to find this

pretty even some say 06 have maintenance issues and are not as hardy as gen 3 so I would say get the cheaper dark timmy
if I bought a new timmy from bob it would be a rage though

The Alias (Just Alias, not a Dark, or any other PL) is probably the better buy than both (unless you find one of the two cheaper). It is lighter than the Dark, and is generally taken to be a little more attractive. The only real advantage to the Dark is you get a Function Trigger, Bolt, and Ramcap, which aren't particularly advantageous, but more personal preference.

the rage same weight as alias
I would wai for the 08 timmy's comming in october but then again my vs2 is good enough anything short of tournament play so if he needs something now he can't go wrong with a timmy

$550 is a damn good deal for a brand new Timmy, regardless. So is $750. I hope they are good guns and not some '06 remake... >.<

meh. I had an 06 timmy for a few months and it neverreally gave me any problems. I loved it. Only reason I sold was because I bought a quest that I really like. I have read about a handful of issues about the 06 timmies though. I guess I got a good batch? Look at an alias
