I brought my guitar with me to IL when I just went there, well, I bring my guitar everywhere. I have a cousin who is a really good guitarist so I wanted to play with him. I didn't know buy one of my dad's friends is a really good guitarist and I got to play with him too. He also does laser engraving and when he saw my guitar he said that he could make some custom truss rod covers. So we went over to his shop and he made me a couple.

I thought they were pretty cool. I couldn't think of anything when he was making them so he just threw a couple things together. He said he can pretty much put whatever I want on there, so I'm designing something for my next one. He also said that he can make these for pretty much any guitar. So if anybody is interested PM me.

Yeesh, I just need a Truss rod cover :p

I lost mine a while ago, along with the screws, so getting one wouldn't do me much good, haha.

But glad to see you got them done, they look great! I also need an electronics backplate cover x_x..

Would he make custom parts? I'd love to have some custom sideplates for my 2k2 clamshell on my spimmy! I could provide a template and everything, if neccessary.

As long as its out of plastic he probably can. PM me what you have in mind and I will talk to him.

That would be so cool! Good idea Critical - but don't worry, I won't steal it from you!

Steal away. There's no way we would both come up with the same ideas for the plates.

Now comes the hard part. Figuring out what I want, and getting it into a format with exact measurements. Time to break out the old graph paper...

Nah, autocad is the way to go, LOL!

I use graph paper, too...

You got me .. Haha, no, I think I misplaced the truss rod cover because it needed major adjustment, and I putting the strings back on to check to see that the action was actually improving. Then I guess I got lazy and didn't want to take off the strings to put the cover back on. The backplate I have somewhere, but it's cracked, I think, which is why it was taken off in the first place, along side the fact that some wires came unsoldered on the inside. To this day, I don't know how those wires became unsoldered if nothing is movie inside.. The toggle switch doesn't jiggle enough for it anyways.
