I have an e99 avant and when i connect an air tank i hear a hissing noise coming from the body. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to stop it?

Welcome to the forums!

You need to give us a bit more information. You have a leak, sure, but where exactly is it coming from?

If the barrel is on it sounds like it is coming out of the barrel. If the gun is cocked the noise gets much quieter. If you take the barrel off it sounds like it is coming out of the place where the barrel would be.

I would think it would either be a faulty cup seal or a cup seal that just needs some lubrication. What I would do is drop a little gun oil on the ASA (where you screw in your tank). One or 2 drops should do and then fire the marker a few times without the barrel. That should be enough to get the oil into the cup seal and lube it a little bit. If the leaking does not go away it may be time to replace the cup seal. That would mean opening it up and removing the frame, loosening the foregrip ASA and then getting to the cupseal and pin. http://www.ottersccustoms.com/ has a lot of this information. Check it out.

you need to replace your cupseal and the valve orings use tank orings on the valve and order a new cupseal dunno where to get one.

Well, I stepped away and sure enough, an answer appears!

I'd do what those guys say. It definitely sounds like it's a cupseal/valve leak. The oil in the ASA should do the trick. Give it a shot and let us know!

What kind of oil? Just like some 3 in 1?

No, 3 in 1 is petroleum based and will eat your o-rings. Use Gold Cup, tri-flow, or any other paintball specific oil.

Air tool oil (for pneumatics) is also good to use. Though personally, I tend to stay with products that are made specifically for whatever I plan on using them for, ie - Gold Cup for paintball, that kind of thing.

Do i put the oil on the threads or on the back flat part where the little hole is?

Put 3 drops right in the hole where you screw your tank in. Screw your tank on and then take your barrel off. Shoot the gun about 15-20 times. That's it - all you do to lube it!
