Always nice to get boxes three days in a row:D

Picked up:
Clear feedtube parts
Ghost ring in matching anno
CCI drop/asa in matching anno
3.5oz tank
Fifty 10 round tubes with speedcaps
PB mafia joyride pack
Asa to macro adapter thing w/ black macro fitting (got fitting from guy in the parking lot as i was leaving the store lol)

Pack can be flipped over and tubes ran capless but i don't care for that setup, like it as pictured:

ASA fitting looks off center in this pic for some reason, idk why, but it is centered in person and the next pic:

No fitting in 12 gram changer b/c dummy 12 gram isn't here yet, just stuck the hose in it to kind of get a look for it:

Pictured with all the body pieces I have, CF breach and 12 drop out changer pictured above, planed on taking pics with those pieces to but didn't feel like taking the phantom apart:

All the crack heads around here are selling phones, your's are selling pb gear. Looks good though, some high gloss black Dark Seoul grips might look kinda cool. You've gotta feel a little Old West or Vietnam machine gunner with all those little pods and cartridges.

I really don't think it is getting the gear that is your obsession. I think it is getting and opening boxes. It becomes Christmas everyday.

I know I'm addicted too.

Hey! I've been demoted! :(

I like getting boxes, too. In fact, I've been getting some myself - wait until you see what I got, hehehehe!

Looks good. Still haven't made up my mind on how I feel about the setup, but I'm loving that color!

I love the Dye stickies on it. It matches perfect and blends. Plus you can't beat the comfort. (I don't know why people are going nutso about Dark Seoul grips... woo hoo they look cool...)

Looks like another Phantom around here...

Read this page (http://www.spyder.tv/forums/showthread.php?t=11723&page=3&highlight=point+pump+guns).

In my opinion, pump has a BIG point to it.

#1 - Paintball started as pump, and stayed that way for quite a while. It has nostalgia working for it.

#2 - cost effective. Instead of pumping out 3 cases of paint in a day or two of play (I used to use two cases in a day - in a weekend, forget about it! During a particularly long practice, I used a case of paint due to the drills we were running - Thank God for paint sponsorships!) you can get away with 500 or less in a complete weekend. That's just paint - you also don't use NEARLY as much air.

#3 - Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while. Spraying and praying is like a blind squirrel - sure, you're gonna hit someone with that amount of paint being used, but unless you're disciplined and have an actual reason for shooting that much (such as locking a lane down) then you live with the "accuracy by volume" theory. And you'll get lucky once in a while.

Pump requires you to AIM and make that one or two shots count. Being able to stay posted long enough to snap a couple shots at an opponent and get them out while they rain 15 bps at you takes skill. To get that kind of skill and patience, you have to play quite a bit with a pump, practicing and getting schooled for awhile, until finally, you're the one doing the schooling.

#4 - Lightweight. You don't carry all those pods and have a restricting belt around your waist. The gun is super light (unless you're shooting a sniper or some such gun...) and it's sooo much easier to move around. I once ran all the way down a woods ball field while all these semi's were shooting at me - I'm pretty fast, so they didn't hit me and I got to the other end and just hid for awhile, catching my breath. Of course, the opposing team was confused because now they had to worry about me AND the people in front of them. I couldn't have made that long of a run with a heavier gun and cinched down pack with a load of paint on my back...but with the Phantom and my shotgun belt with only about 100 balls loaded - lt's nothing!

#5 - bragging rights. What's better than taking out a machine gunning semi shooter using ramping to lay paint down at you? BUNKERING said shooter, that's what!

Seriously though, I was never more proud than when I snapped out the left side of my center back bunker, shooting a guy in the first knuckle on his side of the snake in the goggles with one shot, then immediately switching to the right side in the same game and putting two in the chest of a guy moving to a closer bunker because he thought I didn't stand a chance! We actually won that game, even though we played with two less guys, and I was using a pump. That FEELS good.

Then of course, there's always the idiot who wants to play you one on one. I love being able to run free out there, not carrying 20 pounds and a bulky gun while some thinks he's laning - and I sneak around and one-ball him.

I love that I moved from, "Oh, he's going to get owned!" to "Crap! He's playing with his Phantom. I want on his team!" Also, being known as the pump guy at your field is kind of an honor.

What's the point of pump? Improving skills, having fun and changing the game up, that's the point. Otherwise, it's just the same ol' boring game that everyone else plays!
