View Full Version : Gun won't function properly at 200 psi

Ok so, in the VS2 manual it says that the gun will operate around 200psi. My vs (which is completly stock) will only begin to operate above 280psi any lower and i cannot shoot above 8bps or so. Also, Ive had the gun since march and have put at least 6 cases of paint through it. It uses to cycle at 210psi but never any lower and all of a sudden it spiked. What should I do?

whens the last time you broke down the whole gun and lubed it and the reg?

Are you using co2? If so get it anti-syphoned.

Either way I'd suggest getting a new asa and regulator (cp). I put a cp on my gun and it has made a huge difference and it's not even broken in.

It may be that your regulator is not broken in yet. It usually takes between 2000 and 5000 shots for your reg to be broken in and functioning properly. When i first got my maker the psi was running at about 260. I was then able to lower the pressure to about 220 to get the velocity to where i needed it to be. it is not uncommon for the vs2 to need to be at 220-240 to function properly.

I also was not satisfied with performance of the stock reg so changed it out to a custom products reg and asa using the trinity adapter. it is a nice upgrade if you can afford it but once broken in the stock reg should work well for you.

since your gun is already broken in you may have a problem with your spring (the one that controls the velocity). it can become worn and cause erratic velocity as well as recocking issues. you can get a replacement from spyder or but the 32 degrees spring kit and play with each one until you get the results that you desire.

also, i would not use co2 at all on a vs2 marker even it you have a a/s installed, only use hpa.

good luck and have fun!

My gun wont run properly under 280 either. The recharge rate it that great, but I can shoot around 16 bps and still have it recock fine. while going that quick, my psi goes down to around 200, but never below.

Yea thats my problem but I need the Psi to be up around 280 to rip; then it starts to drop off to about 240. My gun will cycle at 200 but that no more than 2 shots a second. My cousins gun will run fine at 190 and cycle at 150. I think its my spring but im not shure.
