4th gen timmies suck, etek ego is loud. I'd go with pm6 or sft shocker. if buying used i wouldn't get an sft since they tend to be through a bit more use than pm6's. But PM6 has an LPR and those can be a pain too. If out of the box, I'd say SFT.

I chose the SFT. I don't like how egos shoot.

Depends on what you're looking for. Size, weight, reliability, efficiency, cost/resale ratio, availability of aftermarket parts, customizable, looks, what?

Efficiency? Timmy or Ego
Size/weight? PM6 or shocker
Cost/resale ratio? Ego
Availability of parts? Timmy or Shocker
customizable? Timmy, Ego, or Shocker
Looks? All in personal preference.

These are just a few of the things people look at when they consider the "best" gun out there. Unfortunately, no one gun is the end all, beat all choice for most people. There's always that "the next one will be better" business which, I think, leads to the constant gun whoring we see in this business, IMO.

Lecture cut short - of the choices, I personally prefer the PM6 and the Shocker, but having never shot the Etek, only the Ego, I can't really judge it.

4th gen timmies suck.

Why do you say that?

I say timmy or pm6.

On your list the best value would be an SFT, used ones go for around $300 now. The 4th Gen Timmy is great also. I don't like Proto Matrices, they're chunky and blocky. Go with a DM instead if you are looking for a Matrix. I have no experience with an E-Tek, so I can't comment on that.

IDK... sft definately is my fav of those... since the pm6 is a bit chunky... I wouldn't say all proto's are chunky though... i love how small the pm7 is. Gen 4 timmy was gross. frame was gross, milling was ghey, and it basically felt like a misshapen spyder with more bounce and less kick. I hate those things.

I think what Big Red meant to say is that although the thread may only be a couple of days old the subject has been ran to ground numerous times. As far as my vote, its in my sig.
