Is there a advantage to being a sniper in paintball??? Like someone that sits back and picks people off. Would a longer barrel help this?? I've seen those really ridiculous long barrels for "sniping". Don't know if they actually do better than the 12" 14" barrels.

No there is no such thing as a paintball sniper. Paintballs dont have the tragectory like bullets. The only thing even close would be this: http://www.specialopspaintball.com/shop/product_detail.asp?SKU=100+0010&CAT=106203 and I don't know anyone who has had first hand experience with this or even seen it except on a website. To answer your second question anything longer than a 14in. barrel looses velocity and wastes air to get the ball down the barrel. So, no those extremely long barrels do nothing but make it harder to move.

I appreciate all of ya'lls insight. I thought those longer barrels would be a waste. Thanks again!

You should read the article on sniping that Ace put up, I'll try to find it.
