Here is my MR2

I have a Halo B hopper, and a Gear Guide sight: From Sportsman Guide (http://www.sportsmansguide.com/cb/cb.asp?a=244476)
I had to make my own rail though because the MR2 carry handle's rail is 3/8 and this sight is a 7/8. Or just mount the sight to the top of the gun instead of the carry handle. I purchased a stright 7/8 rail from Academy, drilled it, tapped it, and screwed it on.

rap4 makes a red dot sight specifically for the mr2.

That is the same sight but instead of a 7/8 mount it is a 3/8 mount which fits the MR2 carry handle rail. However, that sight is $99.99, the sight I refered to is only $34.99 and a rail from Academy is $9.99 which is about $45.00, HALF the price. If you have some tools or know someone with tools save your self the money.

Hey, doo you guys thinks it possible to get a picture looking through the sight. then i could see if i really want one. I also have been reading reviews on just about every paintball website there is known to man kind, and most of them say the mr2 chops a lot and they've tried everything to fix it and it doesnt work. is this true? if so are your guns chopping a lot? how do you fix it? thanks.

it would probably be best to start a new thread about the chopping, but ill tell you what i know. my gun never chops, i may be lucky or i may have a good setup. first off start by breaking in your acs bolt, next make sure you have good detents in your marker (the black ones are good) or buy some timmy detents. you will need a good force fed hopper also. ie: reloader b, halo b, not sure but maybe the fasta also, or the vlocity hoppers. HPA may also be a good thing to have. if you still have probs with chopping most people get the alamo city bolt. if you want more help or need it you can pm me.

i havent had a chance to play or shoot with it yet but just in case how do you break in your acs bolt?

you can do it two dif ways.

1. dry fire your marker with a dowel rod or wash clothe inside the feedneck for somewhere around a couple hundred shots.
2. take your bolt out of the marker and break it in by hand, just compress the spring for a while (put your thumb on the part that sticks out of the bolt)

I'm with wylde01, my MR2 hasn't yet chopped a ball and I've been playing with it for over a year. . . not one ball chop. I did purchase new Intimidator ball detents, eBay, the day I got it and I have a force feed Halo B hopper. Since your gun is so new the bolt's spring will have to be broken in, do what wylde01 suggested to break it in. GET NEW BALL DETENTS!!! and that should prevent and chopping. Search Timmy or Intimidator ball detents on eBay, couple bucks.

As far as the sight goes, I love mine. I can look though the sight and acquire a target immediately and comfortably. The stock the MR2 comes with does kinda get in the way though, once your mask is on that is. When you mask is on it gets in the way a little bit. Quick fix: cut the top of the stock off or you can purchase a new one. I have a JCS Combat stock, it’s angled down so it’s completely out of the way. Check these out:

This is a scope style red dot, the open style like mine is a lot easier to use and see through.
