ahhh! all this good news on price drops is killing me. I should have sold my xbox for 350!!!

on a side note: 360's now have 65nm proccessors, meaning less heat. Microsoft upped the warranty to 3years.

-Ps3 replaced its pricing for 20gb with the 60gb and replaced the 60gb w/ the 80gb.... still to be more expensive than the 360

Are they backdating warrenties on existing units or just adding it for new ones?

any xbox console now has a 3 year warranty for any manufacturer defects such as 3 red lights.

They did this due to the added pressure from Sony and their price drop on the PS3. Microsoft is still in the hole with the 360 with all the issues consumers are having with them. Warranty claims are tanking their entertainment division.

bleh... biased article. It isn't microsoft's problem if you leave your xbox on for 3 days straight in a cramped corner, or that you treat your power cord like a brick and toss it around. but they're doing what they can to fix people's problems.

I've had mine since it came out. I had to replace the fan with a better one, which is noisy :dodgy:, but it works flawlessly. They will last a long time if you maintain them right. (I've also got a hard drive and network adapter running in it hehe)

Halo 3 and Xbox Live will pull MS out of the hole for 360, wait and see.

Oh indeed. H3 will undoubtedly sell better than any other game in history, EvAr.

While MS is failing in their specialty, they're doing astoundingly well in their recent (as in, since they decided to come up with the xbox) venture of consoles.

I wouldn't say MS is failing. Vista has been a pretty big success. When the service pack comes out later this year they're going to own.

People are acctually switching back from vista to XP, maybe they bought a copy of Vista, so it seems like MS is doing good, but its pathetic if people desire to revert to a previous OS.

I'm not a vista hater either, it looks cool and all, but it uses way too much ram, even more of a bloated hog than XP, and XP wasn't too pretty either.

I'm the same way. I'd much rather use Windows XP Pro than any Vista install, but that's just me. You also have to remember how many people refused to switch to XP back when they loved Windows 98 and 2000 so much. It just takes time to adjust, I guess. The main thing with Vista is it takes a monster PC to run Vista to its full potential, so I guess as technology advances..so will Vista's popularity..

Doesn't matter to me, I like OS X, Windows XP, and several Linux distros enough to keep me busy for awhile. :p

I still prefer win98 se over XP, it's faster. Sadly lots of modern games won't run with on 98, so I have to have an XP install... I still use ubuntu more though!
